ORGANIC MEATBALL STEW
Healthy Whole Food Recipes For Your Dog
This is another one of my cook, freeze, thaw and serve menu meals for your dog. Tomatoes are powerful anti-oxidants and aid in the fight against free radicles that are trying to kill the cellular structure of your pet. Keeping the immune system healthy is the best thing you can do in helping your pet companion live a long healthy life. INGREDIENTS: Yield: 4 servings 1 lb ground beef ¼ cups salt free saltine cracker crumbs 1 large egg, slightly beaten 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 2 tablespoon beef broth 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce 1 can of diced tomatoes 2 sliced up carrot 4 dice potatoes some Hot cooked rice some Chopped fresh cilantro
INSTRUCTIONS Combine ground organic beef, salt free cracker crumbs, egg, 2 tablespoons cilantro and beef broth in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Divide beef mixture into 12 equal portions; shape into meatballs. Set aside. Combine tomato sauce and dice tomatoes in stockpot; bring to a boil. Add carrot and diced potatoes. Add meatballs. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 14 to 16 minutes or until meatballs are medium brown on the outside and a little pink in center and juices show pink color, stirring halfway through cooking time to cover meatballs with sauce and ensure even cooking. You may serve over rice, as desired to add a filler for weight maintenance or for a stool hardener for those animals coming off processed food. Garnish with cilantro, if desired.
Each meal should be about 2/3 meat balls and 1/3 vegetables and sauce. Again, Freeze the portions you would like to safe beyond 4 or 5 days in small tupperware containers to be thawed and served later. Bone appetite
