Career Paths

As one of the essential components of our mission statement, Petoskey Plastics has always considered the strength of our relationships with our communities to be an important measure of our business’ success. Time and again we have been honored to invest our resources back into our neighborhoods and witness the impressive growth that follows. We couldn’t be more proud to have associates on our team who are willing to dedicate their time and talents to those in need after a long day of work. As an organization, we follow their generous example by offering financial support to local groups in an effort to earn the appreciation and respect of the communities where we operate.

In living true to our company mission statement, we contribute to our business communities with our giving focus on youth and their wellness.

Since 2013, Petoskey Plastics has donated over $750k to 250 organizations.

On average, we give monetary donations to 100 organizations a year.

2019 was the highest amount given in a year in company history with $144,500 donated.

Promoting Manufacturing Careers

As with our corporate donations, education and the success of local youth has been the focal point of some of our most exciting community outreach programs.

In response to the skilled labor shortage in the plastics

industry, and in support of workforce development in our area, North Central Michigan College worked handin-hand with Petoskey Plastics to foster enthusiasm for the manufacturing program on campus.

"The contributions that Petoskey Plastics and the Keiswetter family have made show true investment in our North Central student body and our local Petoskey community – we couldn’t be more proud to work with such a wonderful organization. Our relationship allows us to provide critical educational resources to our students, and in return, we offer the associates at Petoskey Plastics valuable training through our workforce development program."

We attend many local community events that allow us to teach students first-hand about skills and unique roles that are found within manufacturing.

The skills gap for manufacturing may leave an estimated 2.4 million positions unfilled between 2018-2028.

Every year, Manufacturing Day is promoted through student tours of our facilities.

This is why it's so important for student outreach!

Every year in October, hundreds of local students can be found touring our three manufacturing locations. Our associates lead students through our facilities and provide them with valuable insight into production and the skills they can start working on now if they choose a future in manufacturing. It's always an event that kickstarts many students into thinking about a career in manufacturing.
