BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY 1970 - Petoskey Plastics, Inc. was founded. 1975 - Began extruding own film. 1978 - Built new Petoskey plant and increased production. Began recycling processes. 1987 - Obtained a patent for a Slip-N-Grip® polyethylene disposable seat cover. 1992 - Began offering closed-loop recycling for its customers. 1998 - Obtained ISO-9001 Certification. 1999 - Bought the assets of a polyethylene film extrusion plant in Morristown, Tenn. 2006 - Purchased Hartford City, IN Recycling Plant. 2007 - Opened a new corporate headquarters in downtown Petoskey. Later that year, renovated a former garage door factory in Hartford City, Ind., converting the building to a 330,000 sq. ft recycling facility. 2013 - Added blown film manufacturing and converting lines to Hartford City. 2015 - Petoskey Plastics reused more than 30 million pounds of plastic. 2017 - Named Plastics News Processor of the Year Finalist.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE • We are a very diverse company. In addition to manufacturing world-class multi-layer bags and film we are also one of the largest post-consumer film recyclers in North America. • Each month we recycle over 2,500,000 lbs of landfill-bound plastic bags and stretch wrap. • As an innovative company and recycler, we work with our customers to reduce their carbon footprint through our Closed-Loop Programs. • In 2016 we developed a Sustainability Scorecard Program to provide our customers with a quantitative evaluation, which allows them to see the return on their investment to the enviroment after purchasing products that contain post-consumer recycled content.
PUBLIC SERVICE • For over 45 years, Petoskey Plastics has engaged in philanthropic activities. • In 2015, we had 22 associates report over 400 hours of volunteer time, with many more going unreported by those who prefer to give without being recognized. • The family-owned company plays an outsized role in the three small towns where it manufactures. In 2015, Petoskey Plastics made financial donations to about 90 different charitable organizations — many targeted to efforts to support local children.
