Bringing heavy oil to life I am very excited to act as Chairman of the Technical Conference at Heavy Oil Latin America Conference & Exhibition. It is important that there is focus on Latin America with respect to heavy oil challenges and technology plays a vital role in the development of resources. The Technical Committee has received over 100 abstracts submitted by authors from Latin America and beyond. We will select 80 of them to be presented at the conference. There will be concurrent sessions on a variety of topics that will be integral to bringing knowledge and information to the heavy oil community. Thank you to our Technical Committee, who have been instrumental in understanding the need to balance all of the challenges related to heavy oil and offer expertise from many areas of the supply chain. Latin America’s official event for the heavy oil community The growing importance of heavy oil has resulted in commercial organizations across the supply chain, as well as governments in Latin America, being forced to rethink their oil strategies and offshore and onshore E&P activity. Technical Conference Heavy Oil Latin America Conference & Exhibition is the premier heavy oil event that gathers the most relevant and influential players in Latin America. Leaders and experts from independent and national oil companies, government and service companies will gather to discuss the challenges faced in the region.
