Hydration technique (CaO-H) was proved to enhance the catalyst surface area and consequently the catalytic activity of the eggshell-derived CaO catalyst (CaO-T) for transesteriďŹ cation of Jatropha oil with methanol.
The developed CaO/SrO/MgO catalyst showed better transesteriďŹ cation activity and stability than the previously reported CaO/SrO catalyst at 65°C, 2 h, 5 wt% catalyst amount and 9:1 methanol-to-oil molar ratio.
A 50-liter demonstration unit for biodiesel production using solid catalysts
Manganese promoter improved both CO conversion and C5+ selectivity for bimetallic Fischer-Tropsch catalysts Suitable amount of Mg promoter could improve the catalytic activity of the CZA/Ferrierite catalysts for the direct synthesis of dimethyl ether.
