Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, an educational partner of CRNYHS. Today, Nashia is a member of Gilder Lehrman’s Student Advisory Council, working with educators and historians to create history curriculum. Through this experience, Nashia’s commitment to learning and discovery has strengthened, resulting in higher grades!

At Cristo Rey New York High School, students only have four days of classes each week to make up for the gaps in their education and catch up to their peers at other elite high schools, but that doesn’t stop them from coming out ahead. Our curriculum is specifically designed to support our student population and challenge them to develop their unique gifts and talents. We ensure that they are receiving the same quality education that is offered at other more expensive college-prep schools so that when they graduate, they’re heading to the same colleges and universities as their more affluent peers.

The Class of 2019 had an average composite score of 21.12 and out-scored the national average for first-generation college students in every ACT subject.

75% of the Class of 2019 attend colleges and universities rated selective or better.*
