WHAT
This course will cover Line of Duty Death statistics, areas of common complacency in a variety of call types, danger areas for all responders (not just police), recent events involving responder ambushes, and avoiding Telecommunicator liability.
WHY
Telecommunicators receive a variety of calls considered “routine.” This can lead to complacency. Telecommunicators must be prepared for any call to become dangerous in the “blink of an eye.”
WHO
This course will be taught by Tina Chaffin, ENP. Tina has 20 years experience in the public safety industry. She is very passionate about training Telecommunicators. Tina continuously updates her training material to include recent events, and up-to-date statistics.
