“Vision’s Ground Zero” is the complete presentation by Wang Sean since 2005. It reveals the action of looking at the painting on the instant; starting from zero, when a work had completed, another meaning has restarted.
18 pieces of paintings will be shown in the exhibition. He had spent some times to think and experiment on those works, and have a self dialectical process on the issue of “how should those small but yet complete works to be done?” To Wang Sean, the action of painting is not merely to fable a story or to fill out the canvas with colors, what matters is the blanks he left purposely on the canvas and the trace of processing the experience.
Wang Sean believes that those blanks on his paintings are the key for viewers to open a different and yet wider space of imagination. It’s the conclusion of both imagination and process of creation.
