Hart Community Assoc. works to improve the area
The Hart Community Association has been working hard over the last several years to build a sense of connection and pride in their community. Part of their work has been to develop and promote accessible, affordable and quality recreational programming to residents of the Hart and to provide special events such as Family Fun Day at Ferguson Lake and Skate with Santa at neighbourhood rinks. Alongside this work has been a small group of volunteers working towards beautifying the Hart area. The flower baskets, planters, revamping of the Hart Highland sign, and ban-
ners have come to fruition because of a dedicated group of volunteer association members and the generous donations of businesses in the Hart area. It is a small but determined group. “Part of our bigger picture thinking has to do with the Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park. We would like to see this become a multi use park for all ages,” states Kristi Francis, HCA chair. We are so grateful for what they give back to our community.
