Adventure Holidays

for 7-17 year olds

let ’s make today AN

ADVENTURE kind of DAY

We’ve been pioneers of children’s adventure holidays since 1957 and have never been more committed to what we believe in. We’ve created this brochure and our website to give you and your children a taste of all the fun and excitement that we pack into each and every one of our holidays. We hope you enjoy them.

SO

much more

a holiday

than just

so many ways, our holidays are a very special u In kind of fun.

For a start, they’re real adventures that are just for children. They get to try amazing activities and laugh with new friends and old, in the place that matters most – the great outdoors. They gain new experiences and a whole lot of self-confidence. Challenge themselves. And yes, enjoy some independence and grow up a bit too.

You’ve got to spread your wings before you can fly. For most, it’s their first time staying away from home and that’s what makes a PGL holiday special too. We understand that taking that first step as a parent can be daunting but we know the rewards are worth it. That’s why we believe ‘adventure matters’ and why we’d love you and your children more than ever to join the adventure in 2018.

See it, hear it, explore it for yourself. The best way to understand what makes us special is to come and visit one of our centres yourself. Because that’s asking a lot, we’ve created this brochure and our website packed with information, photos, videos and virtual tours to bring what we do to life.

“Callen loved the experience... we have noticed an increase in his confidence and he also has adopted the phrase ‘there is nothing that cannot be achieved’.” Ms. Smith

experiences for every child, every time. u Unique Describing what our holidays consist of isn’t simple. We don’t have a clever buzzword to describe it in a nutshell because our formula creates unique experiences for every child, every time. We’ve been perfecting our recipe for a long time and like most good things it’s not so secret. It’s all about the things that, as parents, we know count for so much – quality, experience, care and common sense. Our holidays are all about bringing children together in small groups to socialise, learn from each other and share the adventure.

Our staple ingredients: • We build high quality, safe adventure centres, dedicated to children, using only top quality equipment. • We employ a specially trained, motivated and compassionate team with specialist activity instructors. • We offer exciting and inventive holidays, with never a dull moment from dawn ‘til dusk. • We include almost everything you need in the price.

Our holidays aren’t just special – they are exceptional! We believe we have a winning formula, offering terrific outcomes for children and reassurance and value for parents.

“They are doing what children should be doing - having fun, challenging themselves and getting muddy!” Dr. Day

think it’s important that you know who we u We are and what we’re all about. We’ve been pioneers of children’s adventure for over 60 years and we set the standards in what we do. We’ve welcomed thousands of schools, groups, families and children to PGL over the years and given every single person an adventure to remember. In fact, last year more than 350,000 children came to our centres and that number is growing all the time.

Safety is our number 1 priority. We always put safety at the heart of everything we do. We have invested heavily in our adventure centres, to ensure we are leading the field with the best quality equipment, activities and safety gear you’ll find. We don’t rest on our laurels, constantly developing and expanding all of our centres, making sure every area exceeds your expectations.

First class reputation. We are proud of everything we do. Whether it’s our highly trained staff that will teach your children new skills and care for their wellbeing, or offering the best choice of centres and activities, PGL standards are second to none. We believe in children and understand just how much adventure matters in life. These deeply held values have stayed with us since we were founded in 1957 and we don’t intend to change them any time soon.

Mr. Linforth

Adventure awaits… go and find it! Our centres are in a class of their own. Each one is completely unique yet they all have one great thing in common – they are built specifically for children’s adventures.

Spoilt for choice. Our holidays all take place at centres across the UK and France. There’s a whole range to choose from including our traditional countryside camps, waterside retreats, woodland centres or even on the beach! Some centres are small and homely, perfect for our younger guests, whilst others are much bigger with hundreds of acres of outdoor space to explore! All of them are filled with purpose-built activity bases, including climbing towers, zip wires, giant swings and lots more. We take huge pride in all of our fantastic centres. That’s why we constantly invest in them to ensure they always meet your high standards. We strive to make each and every child feel comfortable and safe when they visit us. We employ a fully qualified and committed team to run our centres and we only use the highest standard safety equipment on each activity we offer.

WHAT A

difference makes a year

holidays and age groups are designed to suit u Our every child.

“Giving your child freedom and independence in a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their own boundaries and have fun, is an opportunity that should not be missed. Adventure, adrenaline and achievement abound!” Ms. Jackson

Every year we welcome thousands of children to our adventure centres and it’s fair to say, we understand more than most how different every child is. That’s why we work in small age groups that create good group dynamics, but also allow for the youngest or oldest in each age range to overlap adjacent age groups, so you can choose what’s best suited to your children. It’s also why we’ve developed over 25 different holidays to suit every interest, passion and personality.

Our age groups:

H

We keep an extra eye on all our youngest guests but 7-10 they are usually the most reluctant to leave by the end!

H

We encourage more self-reliance in our busiest age group, with the widest choice of holidays.

10-13

H

As you’d expect, our teams allow more freedom but also know where to draw the boundaries too.

13-16

H

H

On our overseas adventures we operate slightly wider 9-13 13-17 age groups so even more kids can enjoy the fun! Read on to explore our holidays (p14-29) and centres (p30-45).

Once you try one of our adventures, you’ll want to come back again and again! That’s why our ‘Introductory Adventures’ have been specially created for children who haven’t been to PGL before. A unique ‘first taste’ of all the exciting benefits a PGL holiday can offer in a shorter format and lower price than our other Multi Activity holidays.

• 4 nights (Tues-Sat) An adventure packed Mini Break ideal if you can’t make a full week, offering a convenient weekend pickup.

You’ll still enjoy three days of our original Multi Activity programme but everyone else in your group will be new too and you’ll only be away from home for two nights. You can discover what you enjoy most, what you’re good at and challenge yourself each day and leave wanting to come back for more!

• 4 nights (Mon-Fri) Five full-on days in our most activity packed four night Mini Break. The most activities you can pack in if you can’t make a full week!

When can I do this holiday?

Amazing value

Our Multi Activity Mini Breaks run at most centres in most of the school holiday periods, although they are very popular during the shorter school holidays, outside of the summer months. For full details check out our centre pages 30-45.

We offer these holidays on specific dates at several of our centres, mostly in the Easter, May and October holiday periods. They tend to book up quickly so make sure you call us soon.

Lord Charles Hunt collected many treasures during his lifetime and recorded them all in his diary. Mysteriously, when he died, his most prized and valuable treasure, the Pharaoh’s Pyramid Puzzle, could not be found and is still missing today.

Learn and improve your riding skills throughout the week and help with grooming and looking after your pony too. Our original Horse Riding holiday is a mix of school based riding (a short coach ride away) plus a mix of multi activities. Our ‘pro’ holiday is for more experienced riders and is all about riding and caring for your horse all day, every day. It also offers trekking through the beautiful Brecon Beacons!

Mysterious inscriptions found in the Pharaoh’s tomb told of magical forces locked deep within the Pyramid Puzzle. Beware, because if the puzzle ever falls into the hands of the followers of Ghoulah, the inscriptions warn of impending doom! In order to prevent this, pieces of the Pyramid have been scattered around the Boreatton Park Estate and have lain hidden for nearly 150 years. However, the inscriptions warned that after 150 years the followers of Ghoulah would return to look for the Pyramid. It must not be allowed to fall into their hands, which is where you come in...

surfing

Your mission, should you choose to accept it…

Take on the challenges that the surf throws at you on this exhilarating holiday that will have you surfing like a pro in no time! With our awesome instructors you’ll cover all the surfing basics – paddling out, catching, riding and leaving a wave. Before you know it you’ll be getting up and riding, and we promise you’ll never forget the feeling you get when you catch your first wave! You will also get to try a mix of our fantastic multi activities back at the centre too.

What will I have to do?

You will learn spy skills such as forensics (finger printing and hair analysis), communications (signals, code making and breaking) and surveillance as well as taking part in activities such as abseiling and climbing to demonstrate your new skills. For the 10-13 age group your training culminates in a 24 hour camp-out operation, where you will learn to construct a shelter, build and light a fire and cook food.

Do I need any experience or equipment?

No, you don’t need any surfing experience or specialist equipment, although you will need to be able to swim at least 50 metres and be confident in the water. We will send you a basic kit list before you travel and apart from that we will provide everything you need including boards and wetsuits.

What’s the accommodation like?

You will sleep in the newly refurbished accommodation blocks within the grounds or in rooms in the main house. Bedrooms are bunk-bedded and most sleep four to six children. A small number of rooms sleep eight to ten children. All rooms in the grounds will be en-suite and those in the main house will all have bathrooms close by.

Until last year, the manor was a renowned international school and has many existing facilities as a result, including a boatyard, tennis courts, dining room and plenty of indoor space. After briefly opening to PGL guests last summer, it will be re-opening in an even bolder form in Spring 2018, with many exciting further additions and improvements. There will be a new dining room in the historic clock tower building, refurbished and en-suite accommodation in the grounds and updated rooms in the main house. We’re also filling Bawdsey Manor with even more purpose-built activities, including abseiling, buggy build and more.

Fantastic location, close to London

adventure activities. There’s a purpose-built lake on-site for raft building and kayaking. And if that’s not enough, adrenaline junkies can test their nerve (and stomach!) on the awesome rides at Thorpe Park during the summer holidays. See page 50 for more information (additional supplement).

Whats’ the accommodation like?

Our fantastic accommodation blocks sleep six in each room and all are en-suite. Younger age groups can sometimes be accommodated in our adjoining annexe, Bethany House, which has en-suite, six or eight bedded rooms. It’s a couple of minutes’ walk within the grounds and has its own separate chill out room away from our older guests.

Whilst you’re here you will stay in the main mansion house (7-13’s), the ‘Tall Timbers’ Lodges (10-16’s) or our ‘all weather’ tented village (10-16’s). HOLIDAY

Set in 48 acres of woodland on the banks of Wootton Creek, and with log cabin style accommodation, it would be easy to confuse Little Canada with the country from which it draws inspiration. Locations don’t come much better than this and we also have private access direct to the water from our seafront. There are loads of different activities to try on land and on the water or if you really want to make the best of this location then try our Wet & Wild holiday (see p20).

Many of our log cabins have recently been updated and refurbished. Most rooms sleep four to six children and have their own bathroom. The cabins are grouped together in small villages. 7-10’s usually stay in our cosy Woodland House, situated in the grounds with en-suite rooms.

Osmington Bay is set in 45 acres of grounds with its own access to a beautiful pebble beach and cliff top views. This is one of our biggest centres with superb facilities, great watersports and other activities. With a great range of holidays to choose from and suitable for all age groups, this is a popular centre for both first time and repeat guests.

We have a fantastic range of activities including multiple climbing and abseiling towers, high and low ropes courses, an archery range, giant swing and our very own creek for dragon boating and other watersports. We also use the beach, just a short walk away, for canoeing, kayaking and many of the activities on the Wet & Wild holiday. Our beach team are best for finding the perfect surf for body boarding and surfing and if you really want to catch some waves in style, then check out our surfing holiday which is exclusive to Beam House (page 23). Weather and sea conditions permitting, we also include some activities at the beach when you’re on a 7 night Multi Activity holiday (we do go to the beach on other holidays but for how long will vary).

What facilities are there?

Woodland and fields surround the centre and in the grounds there are activities including abseiling, climbing, archery, a fantastic high ropes course, a zip wire and quad biking. In the evenings there’s a social area to chill out after a full day of activities, or for hosting our varied evening entertainment programme.

Hillcrest is our smallest, most homely centre, with a fantastic team of staff who really love working with younger guests. Originally a private fishing lodge, it’s in a quiet, rural setting close to the River Wye. It’s ideal for a first visit away from home or if you’re looking for somewhere really friendly and extra welcoming! All of our land-based adventure activities take place on-site within the huge garden of the house. Amongst others, the centre’s facilities include a basketball court, low level ropes course and plenty of indoor space. Watersports are also available at our private lake nearby or on the River Wye.

Set in ‘Big Tree Country’

What’s it like?

It’s a fantastic forested site by the River Tay, at the heart of Perthshire’s ‘Big Tree Country’. As well as having all the usual exciting PGL multi activities, this is our only centre with a 75ft tree climb. There is also a cat walk, which will test your balance high above the ground and a huge double zip wire. The wildlife in this unspoilt area is also incredible and if you are lucky you may see the elusive red squirrel or even leaping salmon.

Unique 75ft tree climb

Most of the activities are on-site and are hidden within the woodlands all around the centre – making the most of the forest environment. Waterbased activities take place on our purpose-built on-site lake. The main building was once the summer home of Beatrix Potter and many of her stories were said to be inspired by this idyllic location.

What’s the accommodation like?

All guests sleep in the purpose-built lodges or our converted stable block in the grounds which have four to ten beds and their own showers and toilets.

En-suite accommodation

What’s it like?

Winmarleigh Hall is conveniently located an hour from Manchester and Liverpool and three hours from Glasgow. The Forest of Bowland lies nearby, which is a designated Area of Natural Beauty. Built around the original main house, Winmarleigh Hall was formerly a spectacular traditional Victorian estate. Set in 50 acres of gardens, parkland and woodland, the building retains many original features. Its large rooms and sturdy construction make it ideal for groups of children. The centre is small enough to have a homely feel, but large enough to explore and experience a range of fantastic activities!

What facilities are there?

There’s a huge range of our classic multi activities here, all are on-site and spread throughout the wooded and open areas of the centre’s grounds. Alongside the main building, a more modern building houses the indoor games rooms and additional accommodation. The centre also has its own private lake – ideal for watersports!

What’s the accommodation like?

Rooms at Winmarleigh Hall are either in the main house or the adjacent modern accommodation block. All accommodation is en-suite and rooms sleep four to ten guests.

“As a parent you’re left fee ling relaxed and reassured your children are safe and will enjoy themselves.”

Mrs. Bees

parent guide

Welcome to PGL We know that any parent wants their child to grow up having had the freedom to explore, the opportunity for adventure and the encouragement to push their boundaries - to unlock their potential and discover just how much they are capable of! But at the same time, we understand that you’re bound to have worries and want to protect them – that’s only natural, as parents it’s in our job description! With over 60 years’ experience, and as the UK’s leading children’s adventure holiday company, we’ve been working hard since 1957 to perfect our adventure holiday formula for children - to deliver the right balance between freedom and adventure, and care and protection.

Our beginnings Back in 1957, Peter Gordon Lawrence bought a folding canvas canoe and set off down the Danube. He loved this experience so much he wanted to share it. Returning home, he began leading groups of young adults on canoe camping trips down the River Wye – and PGL was born! Peter’s passions still live on today, in a growing and thriving organisation and the generations of children who have benefitted from what he began over 60 years ago.

Today our holidays still reflect that passion – exciting, full of fun, shared with new friends and enjoyed with laughter but they are also challenging, confidence building and rich learning experiences. They give children the chance to step away from a busy, technology-based world, offering real adventures, in inspiring, safe environments, making memories to last a lifetime. We think that’s what childhood should be all about and what gets the balance right for everyone involved.

What we offer

• Dedicated staff • First class reputation • Purpose-built adventure centres for children • Tailored holidays for different age ranges • Small group sizes so every child feels comfortable In our brochure you’ll find all the most important things we get asked about but you’ll find even more information on our website, along with videos and customer reviews. We appreciate there’s always a lot to consider when you’re a parent and we hope you find it helpful. We’re looking forward to welcoming you this year.

Be Insured - key facts Policy Excesses: Under most sections of the policy, claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is called the excess. Reasonable Care: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property as if you were uninsured, otherwise your claim may be refused. Complaints: The insurance policy includes a Complaints Procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint. Dangerous Sports or Pastimes: If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that your policy covers you. All activities officially organised and implemented by PGL are covered. Policy Document: This gives full details of what is not covered and conditions of the cover. A copy will be sent to you on booking, or earlier on request. Law: The Insurance Policy will be subject to the law of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed. Please ensure you read your insurance policy carefully. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the policy may result in cover being restricted. PGL are an Appointed Representative of Fogg Travel Insurance Service Limited who with the Insurers are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

the small print Please take time to read the following terms and conditions carefully. They are the basis of the contract between yourself and PGL. A contract will exist between us when we have taken your booking and required payment. You will then automatically receive a confirmation/invoice detailing exactly what has been booked. If you think anything is incorrect please contact us straight away. All correspondence will be with the person named on the confirmation invoice who accepts the following conditions on behalf of all participants. The contract between us is governed by English Law and any dispute will be dealt with under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Any monies paid to an appointed agent will be held by the agent for PGL until they are paid over to PGL. Your final payment and travel tickets The balance of your account is payable not later than 12 weeks before holiday commencement. If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to advise you of the cancellation of your holiday booking and make a cancellation charge at the appropriate rate. Full payment must accompany bookings made within 12 weeks of departure. The Package Travel, Package Holidays, and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for the holiday booked from this brochure and for repatriation in the event of our insolvency. We provide this security by way of a bond held by ABTA. Changing your booking or travel If, after you have confirmed your booking, you wish to

The date of effective cancellation is calculated on the day of receipt of written advice in our Reservations Department. Travel costs are forfeited unless written cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to holiday commencement. Your PGL holiday insurance may cover the cost of cancellation. If in doubt don’t hesitate to contact our brokers, Fogg Travel Insurance Services, on 01623 631 331. Any compliments, complaints or feedback If there is any problem with the holiday, we want to put this right for you as soon as possible. Please ask your child to mention it to their Group Leader/Courier/ Centre Manager straightaway. Alternatively, we will be pleased to make a phone available, so your child can speak with you if this is preferable. We would ask you to make immediate contact with either the centre or Head Office in Ross-on-Wye. If we have been unable to find a solution, you have 28 days from the end of your holiday to write to us to explain your grievance. Please email feedback@pgl.co.uk. If you are still unhappy, your complaint may be referred to arbitration under a special scheme arranged by the Association of British Travel Agents in conjunction with the Institute of Arbitrators. This scheme provides for a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone, with restricted liability on a customer in respect of costs. The scheme does not apply to claims for an amount greater than £5,000 per person. There is also a limit of £25,000 per booking. Neither does it apply to claims which are solely or mainly in respect of physical injury or illness or the consequences of such injury or illness. The scheme can however deal with compensation claims involving minor injury or illness, subject to a limit of £1,000 per person. Application for arbitration must be made within 9 months of return from holiday. Further details can be supplied by ABTA on request. Their address is: 30 Park Street, London SE1 9EQ.

make any alterations, an administration charge of £25 will be made per amendment. Any such amendment may be telephoned to PGL in the first instance but must be confirmed in writing immediately thereafter by emailing holidays@pgl.co.uk. However, if a major amendment is requested less than 8 weeks prior to the starting date of the holiday, we reserve the right to treat your request as a cancellation and charge the appropriate cancellation fee as detailed below. In order that all our staff have the correct information we cannot accept additions or alterations to travel arrangements within 7 days of the commencement of the holiday. If we are forced to make changes, PGL will do its utmost to provide all of the arrangements that have been confirmed, but must reserve the right to alter or cancel any activities, accommodation or other arrangements, including escorted travel, if operational, weather or other considerations so dictate. If we have to make a major change to your holiday, we will offer a suitable alternative if available, or 100% refund, if we are not able, in our opinion, to offer an alternative that is sufficiently comparable. Compensation will be paid as below if we have to make a major change to your holiday within 8 weeks of holiday commencement, unless the change is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war, riot, civil commotion, act of God, industrial dispute, Government action, epidemic, disease, adverse weather or natural disaster. • 56-29 days – 10% of holiday price • 28-15 days – 15% of holiday price • 14 days or less – 25% of holiday price

The price of your holiday is subject to surcharge due to unforeseen increases in fuel costs, Government action such as increases in VAT or any other Government imposed increases or adverse currency exchange rate variations. Even in this case, we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the holiday price which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. Only amounts in excess of this 2% will be surcharged but, where a surcharge is payable, there will be an administration charge of £1 together with an amount to cover agents’ commission where relevant. If this means paying more than 10% of the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid except for any premium paid to us for holiday insurance and amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the surcharge advice. The prices of our holidays abroad have been fixed according to an exchange rate of 1.13 euros to £1 as published in the Financial Times on 1st December 2017. You will be notified 8 weeks before departure if a surcharge is due on your holiday. Cancelling your holiday or travel If you find that you cannot take your PGL holiday and have to cancel, for whatever reason, your deposit will be forfeited to cover our costs. If we receive your written cancellation within 56 days of your holiday commencement date, higher cancellation charges will be made, as follows: • 56 to 29 days prior to commencement – 30% of the total holiday price.

We would like to explain some of the definitions and features of our insurance cover for you. Cooling off period: Your policy contains a 14 day cooling off period, during which you can cancel the policy and get a refund, if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover it provides. Pre-existing health conditions: If any participant, or any other person on whom the travel plans depend, has ever had treatment for any heart condition or circulatory condition, a stroke or high blood pressure, any breathing condition (including asthma), any type of cancer, any type of diabetes, any psychological condition, any existing injury or other serious or recurring medical condition, any condition requiring long term, prescribed medication or if you or they are receiving or awaiting investigation for any medical condition, you must advise the insurers via PGL to see if additional cover is available. Insurers reserve the right to impose terms. You will receive confirmation in writing of their decision. Conditions, Exclusions & Terms: Conditions and exclusions will apply to individual sections of your policy while general exclusions, conditions and warranties will apply to the whole policy. Property Claims: These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a “new for old” or replacement cost basis. Policy Limits: Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy if you intend taking expensive items with you, which we advise against.

• 28 to 15 days prior to commencement – 45% of the total holiday price. • 14 to 1 days prior to commencement – 100% of the total holiday price. • On or after the commencement date – 100% of the total holiday price.

Our responsibility PGL accepts responsibility for those elements of the holiday arrangements which are under our direct control and for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents, subcontractors and suppliers. Except as set out below, no liability is accepted for personal illness, injury or death. We do accept responsibility for any personal illness, injury or death which results from the negligent (as the word is understood in the English Law) acts or omissions of any servant or agent, or any supplier, working on our behalf in the provision of services or facilities to you and whilst acting within the scope of their employment. Please note, however, that we do not accept liability for any air or sea carriers whose individual conditions of carriage apply and are often subject to international agreements. We cannot be held responsible for the failure or inability of any equipment or computer programme to recognise or correctly interpret or process any date as the true or correct date, or to continue to function correctly beyond that date. We cannot be held responsible for the loss of enjoyment or additional expenses due to delays or changes in any travel arrangements or other services which are caused by circumstances amounting to force majeure, such as, but not limited to war, riot, civil commotion, act of God, Government action, epidemic, disease, natural disaster, industrial dispute or adverse weather conditions. We can only be liable for the provision of special requests where we have confirmed their availability in writing. Should you or any member of your party have the misfortune to suffer illness, injury or death during the period of your holiday, arising out of an activity which does not form part of the arrangements made by us, we shall, where appropriate, and subject to our reasonable discretion and prior agreement, give you

and your family every help that we can by way of initial assistance, including initial legal costs associated there with, up to a maximum value of £5,000 per booking. You must request such assistance within 90 days from the date of the misadventure and in the event of there being a successful claim for costs against a third party or there being suitable insurance policies in force, the costs incurred by PGL shall be recoverable from yourselves. We shall not be liable in respect of any loss of profits, damage to goodwill or any type of special, indirect or consequential loss even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable or we have been advised of the possibility of you incurring the same. Subject to the above and excluding liability for death or personal injury, our liability shall be limited to £15,000 (pounds sterling) in respect to any one claim. Your responsibility It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to advise PGL of a child’s special diet and swimming ability in writing or by telephone at the time of booking. This information will be reconfirmed to you in our documentation. (All children participating in watersports must be able to meet PGL’s swimming requirements as detailed in the Parent Guide.) It is also the responsibility of the parent/guardian or other person acting in ‘loco parentis’ to fully advise PGL, when booking, and then follow this up in writing, of any illness, disabilities, social or behavioural problems that a youngster currently has, or has recently experienced, which might affect the youngster or other guests during the PGL holiday. We may request written confirmation from your GP/teacher confirming the suitability of the holiday for your child with particular reference to such considerations as social compatibility, physical access, successful participation and health and safety. We will naturally treat any personal information sensitively and respect confidentiality. We are committed to making our holidays as accessible to as many guests as possible, however, very occasionally we may not be able to provide the service required and will refund any deposit paid.
