Tom Lea Upper Park – Slope Stabilization Project Considerations for Slope Stabilization Retaining walls at base of embankment and near mid-slope area. o Will improve long-term stability of slope
Regrading existing slope. o Modify slope with structural controls and localized earthworks
Improve drainage conditions. o Plan to mitigate erosion o Reduce debris being deposited on roadway following storm events
Incorporate art as component of the project “Delivering Outstanding Services”
Tom Lea Upper Park – Slope Stabilization Project Conceptual Approaches for Slope Stabilization
Three concept level approaches have been developed for public review and comment.
Changes to concept level designs will incorporate public input, ongoing engineering analysis, as well as available funding.
Design will incorporate options for illumination, landscaping and art.
Final selection will be based on engineering, budget and public comments where feasible. “Delivering Outstanding Services”
