With an unrivaled choice of activities, set in 95 acres of meadows and woodland there’s so much to do. Our experienced team are here to offer a warm and friendly welcome and will help create a programme that suits you. We can offer anything from an hours activity, to a full activity week, whatever you are looking for, our ethos is together we can do it! Our approach puts your needs at the heart of the planning process - if you are pressed for time and resources, we can offer complete packages with a full activity programme, off site visits, catering and transport; if you prefer to organise the details yourself, you can simply book a pitch or a Lodge and we’ll build it up from there…whichever you choose, we understand the need to deliver great value. Once you arrive our qualified instructors are here to work with you and deliver your groups goals. We are also proud to offer you the re-assurance of the externally verified Adventuremark Accreditation for our activities, along with the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality badge awarded for our overall experience. AT PHASELS WOOD At Phasels Wood we offer over 35 on-site activities for ages 6 up and of any ability. Our skilled team of Instructors allow us to offer anything from ‘Have a go’ sessions to progressive learning experiences. We are proud of our work and achievements, here are some of our Quality Award Badges. Recognised for good quality learning outside the classroom educational provision and effective risk assessment. The LOtC Quality Badge indicates that the provider understands schools’ needs and can tailor their offer to fit in with both current curriculum requirements and any specific requirements of the school.
Adventuremark is a non-statutory safety accreditation scheme for providers of adventurous activities. The provider accreditation criteria includes staff competence, fit for purpose safety equipment, facilities and services, and effective internal and external communication.
The Institute for Outdoor Learning supports individuals and organisations who use the outdoors to make a difference to others. Helping to increase participation in outdoor learning and ensure the development and progression of outdoor learning in the UK.
Approved Activity Provider (AAP) whose sectional opportunities have been approved by the DofE and meet sectional conditions and can count towards the achievement of a DofE award.

LODGES With a great choice of Lodges, there is bound to be one to suit your needs. They are a perfect alternative/addition to camping.
AVENUE LODGE Sleeps 16 with en-suite bedrooms, hall and fully equipped kitchen.* It has its own dedicated woodland camping area and campfire circle.
ROWAN LODGE Sleeps 38 with en-suite bedrooms, hall and fully equipped kitchen.* It has its own dedicated woodland camping area and campfire circle.
THE CEDARS The Cedars sleeps 42 with male and female washrooms and showers, large hall and fully equipped kitchen.* It has its own dedicated field camping area and campfire circle.
THE JUBILEE The Jubilee is an equipped hall with camping facilities alongside. There is a basic kitchen area at one end equipped for 30 people.

CAMPING & INDOOR SPACES
With a mix of rolling meadow, woodland glades and large camping fields, Phasels Wood has something for everyone when it comes to camping, whether on an overnight expedition or a weeks camp. We offer a range of 5 and 10 man tents for hire with the capacity for over 300. Over the last 18 months we have worked to improve our camping experience, with new and refurbished toilet and shower facilities and new drinking water taps adjacent to every Seymour Field site.
AFON CONCQUEST Available as one large hall or divided into two smaller halls. Can host meetings for up to 30 boardroom style, 60 classroom style or 160 theatre style. The building is fully equipped with projector and sound system.
BRYNBACH A multi purpose training and meeting venue. Available as a lecture or meeting room with bathroom facilities. Equipped with it’s own sink, fridge, microwave and water boiler.

SARON Ideal for small meetings of up to 10 people or as a syndicate room with either the Brynbach or Afon Concquest.
CATERING Let us do the cooking! For groups of 12 to 500 we’ll cook it all, breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper, all served in Woodland Bites with plenty of seating both inside and out. We’ll even wash up afterwards. We endeavour to cater for special dietary requirements, whether determined by choice, faith or allergen intolerance. Simply let us know about your groups particular requirements by returning a completed dietary requirements form 14 days before your visit. Should there be any particularly detailed or special requirements, our catering manager will always be happy to discuss these. We strive to operate a nut free kitchen, however because of manufacturing processes we cannot guarantee each ingredient is free from any trace of nuts. Please disclose any intolerance on the dietary requirements form. Water and Squash are available throughout the day from the drinks station. We recommend that everyone brings a water bottle that they can fill and carry with them during the day. Tea and Coffee are available throughout the day for group leaders.
Situated next to reception, our onsite shop the providore stocks a wide range of snack and drinks as well as badges, gifts and souvenirs. Woodland Coffee serves hot drinks all year round plus snacks and hot food throughout the year.

MOBILE EQUIPMENT Let us bring the Phasels Wood experience to you. Choose from a wide range of mobile activities to create an activity day at your venue or provide a centre piece activity for your event. We have a choice of operator led activities and activities that can be self-led, so we can put together a package to suit your budget. Perfect for bringing adventure and excitement to school fetes and fundraisers. We are always happy to offer a site visit, to advise on the best activities, check access and appropriate safety arrangements. Together with our sister site Tolmers, we operate The Next Level of Mobile Adventure. Through this association we can offer one of the widest ranges of mobile activity equipment available in the South of the country. As The Next Level, we have delivered product launches, film premieres and supplied activities for some of the countries most prestigious sporting events. We invest this income back into the centres allowing us to continue to deliver our charitable aims.

Where applicable our mobile activities have been registered and inspected under the ADIPS scheme. This scheme ensures that their design is inherently safe and that periodic inspections are carried out by appropriately qualified engineers throughout the devices use.

HOW TO BOOK STEP 1: CHECK AVAILABILITY If you have a date in mind, contact us to check availability either online, over the phone or via email. If your requested dates are available a provisional booking will be made. We will hold your provisional booking for 14 days, giving you time to arrange a deposit and return paperwork. STEP 2: WE WILL SEND YOU YOUR PROGRAMME Our team will prepare your programme, summary, quote and pre-populated booking form. Unless otherwise specified, we will email these documents to you. STEP 3: SIGN AND RETURN Check you are happy with the programme, summary, quote and booking form and return to us signed. Once you have confirmed that you are happy with your programme and we have received your signed booking form we will then send you your deposit invoice. STEP 4: DEPOSIT INVOICE Please pay your deposit invoice with 14 days to secure your booking. We will send you a reminder for final amendments 5 weeks before your visit.
KEY TERMS Provisional bookings will only be held for 14 days. If a signed booking form and deposit are not received within this time a provisional booking will be cancelled. Deposits are non-refundable, a cancellation policy applies. Further details with regards to our cancellation policy can be found in our Terms and Conditions at the back of this pack. Please note that minimum numbers apply for all packages and catering, even if your numbers are lower than the minimum you will still be charged the full amount to cover costs.

Phasels Wood Activity Centre is just 3 miles from Junction 20 Northbound of the M25 towards Hemel Hempstead on the A41. The entrance is in the second lay-by from the M25 roundabout. There is a sign just before the lay-by: ‘Scout Camp access via lay-by’ There is no postal address or postcode for the main entrance. We recommend using Google maps to find us! On arrival drive up to the automatic barrier and follow the appropriate signs. At busy times you will be directed to the nearest available parking and therefore you may have a 5-minute walk. The barrier is automatic between 08:00 and 22:30. Outside these times please make alternative arrangements for access. If arriving via coach, please park in the first car park off the A41 and walk to the camp centre. Please ask the group leader to contact reception on 01442 252851, 15 minutes before your arrival so we can arrange for staff to meet you. Please note, dogs are not allowed on site at any time, except for guide/hearing dogs.
