PHAT!BUZZ: INTRODUCE YOURSELF DEEJAY LEVI KING: My name is Levi Musyimi but in the deejay industry, I am known as Dj Levi King King. I specialize in corporate
deejaying, and in my spare time, I am a sound engineer at a local church. My hobbies are photography, riding bikes and travelling. PHAT!BUZZ: HOW HAS LIFE BEEN DURING THE COVID 19 PERIOD? DEEJAY LEVI KING: At first, it was really tough for all of us. However, where there is a challenge, always seek an opportunity. So I did
just that. I began pursuing one of my hobbies - photography - on a professional level. through lots of practice and perseverance. I mean, we did have the free time after all!. Moral of the story, covid 19 has brought with us challenges such as job loss and so on, but if we keep pushing, we should use this ‘free’ time wisely to develop our hidden talents. You might make a few extra bucks from it! PHAT!BUZZ: HOW HAVE YOU BEEN HANDLING POSTPONEMENTS AND RESCHEDULES? DEEJAY LEVI KING: You just take it all in stride as we are not in control of the events’ outcome. Also, it’s important to always be
readily available for any outcome and prepare a contingency plan. For instance, mine was extending my knowledge in photography and discovering ways of earning from it. PHAT!BUZZ: HOW ARE YOU WORKING ON YOUR BUSINESS DURING THIS TIME? DEEJAY LEVI KING: I have been working on my personal branding and seeking opportunities in other fields. PHAT!BUZZ: ANY LIFE LESSONS LEARNT DURING THE PANDEMIC AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE? DEEJAY LEVI KING: Saving and having multiple sources of income. This pandemic has definitely pushed me to think outside the
box and find a means to make a little bit of income at least for the basic amenities. PHAT!BUZZ: ANY FUTURE PLANS IN RELATIONS TO THE NEW NORMAL? DEEJAY LEVI KING: My plan is to diversify my mode of business to incorporate different aspects of the event business. This is to
ensure that I remain relevant in business even during challenging times such as this. PHAT!BUZZ: ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR ALL LOOKING TO BE A DEEJAY? DEEJAY LEVI KING: Firstly, ensure you are doing it for the love of music and not for the love of money. Secondly, build your skill,
set your niche and lastly, learn how to read a crowd. PHAT!BUZZ: ANY LAST WORD? DEEJAY LEVI KING: In everything you do, put God first.
