Welcome to the second issue of volume five of The Inquirer, the popular science magazine of the Wildwood Institute for STEM Research and Development (WISRD). Twice each year, WISRD publishes The Inquirer with the goals of providing our community with high-quality scientific writing and exposing WISRD members to the publication process to develop and improve their ability to share their learnings through scientific writing.
In our first issue of 2020, we are excited to share with you a varied and relevant range of topics within STEM fields. In this edition, you can explore the role of science and technology in film, delve into quantum computing, or learn about the physics of surfboard fins. And at the back of the issue, be sure to check out our special series on sustainability to learn about sustainable energy, green architecture, and more.
I’d like to thank our hard-working Publications Team, including our Head Designer, Colin Horn, and his Graphic Design Team led by Haiden Bergquist, as well as our Assistant Editor, Jack Stein, and Publisher, Scott Johnson. And, as always, I would like to acknowledge the WISRD members who contributed to this issue of The Inquirer and WISRD COO Joe Wise.
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to contribute to the next issue, feel free to contact me at danib21@wildwood.org. Thank you and enjoy this issue of the The Inquirer!
