Philip Levens, born in the small town of Lubbock, Texas, exhibited a natural inclination towards storytelling from his earliest days. This passion was further honed at The University of Texas in Austin, where he pursued a degree that laid the foundation for his future endeavors. After graduating, he transitioned to Los Angeles, a city bustling with opportunities in the television industry. Here, his journey in television production began, marked by a blend of Texan resilience and visionary creativity. In television production, he quickly distinguished himself through his foundational values of kindness and a commitment to excellence. His entry into the industry was not just a location change but the beginning of a journey marked by relentless hard work and a collaborative spirit. These attributes became the cornerstone of his career as he navigated through the complexities of the entertainment world. This approach led to the creation of “Ascension” for Universal and Lionsgate, a show that has since found a home on Netflix. He has worked with industry giants such as Ice Cube, Donnie Walberg, Jason Blum, and the Smiths and with studios like Imagine, Joel Silver, Marvel, Warner Bros, Universal, Disney, and Lionsgate. His foray into film includes adapting Patricia Highsmith’s novel, “Found in the Street,” and reworking the Wachowski Brothers’ script “Vertical Run” at Warner Bros.
