UNICORN UTOPIA Stay Fly! Or Unicorns Die! (LOL) Hey Key Clubbers!8 – Division 26 Unicorn Utopia – Pacific Northwest District – Key Club International – June 2012 – Issue 3 Hello Division 26! I hope you guys are all doing well! The months are passing by like crazy, which means it might be harder to focus on what’s important! Although if you strive to be successful you can accomplish whatever it is your dealing with.

Table of Contents Letter from the LtG ..... 1 January DCM ............. 2 Are you ready!? ......... 2 Key Dates ................... 3 DCON 2014 ................ 4 Divisional News........... 5 Executive Board ......... 6 Kiwanis Info................. 6 Officer Info ................. 7 Rainbow Board .......... 8

So much has happen in less than 2 months in this year, that I can’t comprehend all of it sometimes. Kevin Ngo has been elected the new Lt.G which means my journey is coming to an end. The Seahawks also brought home the championship trophy for Seattle’s first ever Superbowl win. Overall my message is that with these events happening we all came together to support these people. It shows as a division and as a city, we are able to create a movement. One more important thing is that DCON is coming up soon, so fundraise, fundraise, and fundraise! I have sent out information on how to submit dues, and will continue to update advisors this week! As always, let me know if you have any questions! In Service and Dedication,

Philip Nokeo

Divisional News Divisional Goals 1) Increase communication through Facebook and email 2) Increase attendance at divisional events 3) Educate members about Key Club International 4) Help clubs improve Kiwanis relations 5) Become a stronger division as a whole! 6) Contribute to the Eliminate Project

What is The Eliminate Project? Description: Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year. The effects of the disease are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.

Our Goal: To raise money during each DCM and each event to donate towards the Eliminate Project! I plan to raise $1000 by the end of my term! And I’ll need you guys to help me! UPDATE: Money has been coming in from schools, so I’ll be sure to post the total of our funds when I receive all the donations!

Who wants a spot in a DCON promo video?  One lucky member in our division will get the opportunity to be featured in a promo video for DCON!  Attend a majority of divisional events, like DCMs and Seattle Rally  Be a member in good standing with your home club  Have Spirit! Good luck to everyone!
