About four weeks ago, there was a joint DCM held by divisions 26, 27, 32, and 33. I heard that everyone had a blast and I’m grateful for that! There were many ice breakers, games, and socializing. Everybody met somebody new! There will be many more of these events to come, so make sure to plan ahead! I also finished visiting almost all the clubs in the division and want to say it was a great chance to meet so many new people in our division. I hope to see all of you at the next DCM which will be hosted Garfield! More information is on page 5. One last thing! Many new events volunteer opportunities will be posted up soon, so please keep an eye out! I know it’s the summer and there isn’t much information to pass along, but always be prepared for what’s next! As always, let me know if you have any questions! In Service and Dedication,

Philip Nokeo

Divisional News Divisional Goals 1) Increase communication through mass text system 2) Increase attendance at divisional events! 3) Educate members about Key Club International 4) Help clubs grow in numbers! 5) Recharter John F. Kennedy 6) Become a stronger division as a whole! 7) Contribute to The Eliminate Project

What happened to John F. Kennedy? A few years ago, John F. Kennedy, located in Burien, was a part of Division 26. However, the club became inactive because there were no more members.

One of my goals as lieutenant governor is to recharter John F. Kennedy and welcome the club back into our division! I will continue Jessica’s goal from last year, and make it a reality!

Divisional News (continued) Along with divisions 27,28,32,33 we raised over $400 for the Eliminate Project. Keep up the good work and remember to contribute to the June DCM’s Miracle Minute for the Eliminate Project!

I will now be awarding Rainbow Board points for members who attend Kiwanis meetings! If you are interested in going to a meeting, refer to page 11 for more information.

Overview of the Eliminate Project Kiwanis International and UNICEF have partnered to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, which kills nearly 60,000 babies and a significant number of women each year. The effects of this disease are excruciating – tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.
