With this project we wanted to create a building which doesn‘t follow any strict form because it was quite hard to handle with the surrounding park. This park has a lot of different facilities and a wide diversity. So we decided to create something where the people can feel and get to know the park over different angles and point of views
Branitzer Park/Cottbus/Germany
We folded a stripe of paper on each interesting viewpoint in the park. Then we created volumes over this areas which ar
rose by folding the stripe. First on one level and then we moved them vertically on the value of each of the viewpoints.
One big question for us was where we will place the books because our library has a lot of stairs, plattforms and different levels. So we decided to integrate the bookshleves inside the walls all along the stairs.

This building complex was created in a gap between townhouses in the city of berlin. The new building basically consist out of two parts: the first part is connected to the street and forms a close block, the second part consist out of summerhouses in the backyard. The two dwelling forms are adjustest to the different wishes of the residents/investors.
The gap at mariannenplatz is a place where many different cultures and lobbys come together. In order to come towards the interests of the residents and to create a dialog between them we created a flowing through space between the summerhouses and in this way we didnt interrupt the court by a big massive house. The arose spaces are becoming a meeting point for the future, but also for the current residents and should beautify the living together and the space atmosphere.

This small project was a shelter for pilgrims in the national park of bussaco. It is supposed to be a resting point for them on their so called path „caminho portuguese“ from lisbon to santiago de compostela. The shelter should provide them the basic needs for living. Additionally it was an temporary project and sustainability was an important topic .

The idea of this project was mainly to create a museum which will not interrupt the existing habits and would integrate in the surrounding cityscape. The city Crato is small and the main attraction next to the building site is the church which has a modern hostel intervention from architect João Luís Carrilho da Graça so it was quite important to somehow handle with these facts.
The concept consist basically out of four square boxes which were turned into different directions according to important viewpoints. Those boxes are over the ground in order to have just one level up to not interrupt the big building site. The connection and the rest of the museum are taking place underground. To bring light and fresh air in the lower lever i created patios on important places and also in the middle of the museum to have outside area to relax and sit.
