Philip Roy

Philip Roy was born and raised in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. His love for the ocean, enjoyment of travelling, and fascination for submarines has led to the creation of the Submarine Outlaw series (SOS). The series includes 8 books thus far (Ronsdale.) Philip has also written The Kingdom of No Worries, a Middle Reader (Ronsdale.) Blood Brothers in Louisbourg and Me & Mr. Bell are two historical novels that Philip has also published, the former of which has been translated into French (Nimbus.) Philip is also known for his Happy the Pocket Mouse picture book series, which includes Mouse Tales, Jellybean Mouse, Mouse Pet and Mouse Vacation. Each of these picture books are also available in French. The first 2 books in the Submarine Outlaw series are now also available en français as Un rebelle en sous-marin and L'île perdue d'Atlantide. When Philip is not travelling and visiting schools, he and his family live in Brockville, Ontario, where he continues to write novels and compose music.
