THEY REMEMBER
ELEVEN Philadelphia Marines were killed in a Beirut, Lebanon terrorist explosion in 1983. No one has honored the Marines at their memorial in years. This was not acceptable to the Philadelphia Police Honor Guard, which holds a formal ceremony on every Memorial Day at the monument before participating in the Korea and Vietnam services. The total count of dead in the Beirut incident was over 200. More Memorial Day pics P. 8. Photo by Joe Stivala
