from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. She said, “There are other farmers markets but this one is so convenient to the seniors. We’ll be handing out vouchers Tuesday, Jul. 20 and Wednesday, Jul. 21, in the morning and in the afternoon. We have a limited number of sets that include four $5 vouchers.” Eligible residents only receive one set a year and you must show proof of age (60+), residency and have low income. N. Carolina Plane Crash Takes Two ‘Good Guys’ by Maria Merlino Kyle Henn’s recent graduation from the University of Delaware was overshadowed by the death of his brother Nathan, a humanitarian living in Uganda. Henn wanted to get to his parents’ home in North Carolina so he could be with them, and to attend his brother’s ceremony. South Philadelphia native, Tom Pitts, a selfless-natured Marine retiree, who often used his single-engine Cirrus SR20 for missions of charity, along with his good friend, co-pilot, Jim Donahue volunteered to take Henn on
the 300-mile trip. Pitts had the skillset, he had the plane, and he thought it was his duty as a Marine to help. On Monday, the three flew out of Salisbury, Md. into a partly cloudy sky with winds of less than five miles per hour. But something went terribly wrong as they came in for a landing at Horace Williams Airport in Chapel Hill, N.C. Instead of setting down, the plane crashed into the trees alongside the runway.
