The South Philadelphia-based Catholic alumni club honored four special alumni at a packed house inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Columbus Boulevard. The leadership team and the members of Millay Club represent graduates from a school with three names but one spirit. That’s what South Philadelphia’s Dante Coccia, Jr. can tell his friends. The young Phillies fanatic is now best friends with star-pitcher Ryan Madson. Madson hung out with nineyear-old Dante Coccia, Jr., earlier this year, after the youngster was named a “Shining Star” by the March of Dimes children’s charity.
