by Maria Merlino I’m going to reveal a deep, dark secret that I’ve never told anyone in my life. When I was eight years-old, I fell in love with a red-headed older man. He was the Happy Norwegian, Myron Floren, the accomplished accordionist on the Lawrence Welk show. Of course Myron had no idea that I existed, but that never stopped me from kissing the television screen every time he came on and did his solo number. McGlasson Four Asian-American HS Juniors from Furness HS spent Monday afternoon painting a picture of their own at South Philadelphia HS. Chinese natives Yunjie Jiang, 17, Ziliang Yu, 16, Zijia Yin, 17, and Weijun Chen, 18, joined thousands of volunteers at Southern on Monday to take part in City YearMartin Luther King Day of Service project.
