by Rory McGlasson CHRISTINA ANDREWS was walking along 5th &Wolf Streets on Monday morning when she heard a “big bang.” Andrews and her boyfriend Noel Rivera suddenly realized it was an explosion. That “bang” could have been a gas explosion that is suspected to have

caused a rowhome at 426 Daly Street to collapse. “Houses were shaking,” she said. “Everyone was running. “Then another bang, and boom – glass was flying everywhere! “You could smell gas,” Andrews recounted. “When it happened, everybody just started dropping – adults, kids, babies – everyone.” Andrews, 26, and her boyfriend

Rivera, 31, have lived on the second floor at 4th & Wolf for nine years. Rivera and Andrews rushed to help neighbors along Daly Street immediately after the explosion on Monday. Rivera rushed to help one neighbor who told him she lived next door the collapsed building. According to Rivera, she told him that she had smelled gas around 9 a.m. in the morning. (Cont. Page 2)
