Cover: Leeds band Deratas performing for Leeds Met Live Lounge Leeds Met Live Lounge BBC radio ones live lounge is one of the most successful shows on British radio and now two students from Leeds Metropolitan University are putting their own spin on it. In a study of the acoustics of different sized venues final year music students from Leeds Metropolitan University Nathan Harrison and Robyn Dixon have organised three acoustic gigs inspired by BBC radio one’s Live Lounge for there final project.

Above: Backstage at The Hop in Leeds City Centre with Midnight Scenario performing After three quality shows I caught up with Nathan and Robyn one final time to see how they felt that it had gone. “The Hop for me was our best show” said Nathan he went on to tell me how he felt that as the shows went they got more of a idea of what to expect which helped them adapt with every show. Overall they seemed happy with the result and just can’t wait to get the album mixed and released. With some of the best acoustic performances I’ve seen in along time I can honestly say I can’t wait for the release of the CD which is due out in summer. It will be released for purchase online for more information look on www.facebook.com/leedsmetlivelounge.
