Preface “Phi” is a new independent publishing project decicated to visual awareness. It is focused on extending visibility to individual creative language and understanding of contemporary practise while examining the fertile and complex semiotic and aesthetic nature of the world, image and object.

E(n)ditorial Zoe N. Nikolopoulou lives in Athens and studies for a PhD in Fine Arts. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and a Master’s degree in Computer Science. She is a poet, translator and teaches English. Her eleven published books include original and translated poetry. Antti Kinnunen is an ornithologist and painter. He is notable for his studies to document all types of birds and for his detailed illustrations that depict birds in their natural habitats. He loves roaming in the woods, exploring the fields, observing rare avian species. Aristi Kostopoulou I studied fine arts and museum management. The primary area of my interest is on the cultural anthropology and the evolution of human capabilities in knowledge and art with secondary interests in art across disciplines projects. I work with street photography, new media and technologies. The context of my work is a documentary study of the society and the environment routines. Albert Dahl was born in Hanstholm in 1968. He is a director and producer of short form videos. Antti was originally a graphic artist with experience in photography, digital illustration, stereoscopic video. A sensitive observer of objects, Albert travels the globe creating a powerful insight into his objects.
