An electricians’ responsibility includes connecting outside power sources to electrical systems and then distributing the power throughout the facility. This includes installing conduit, running wire, installing outlets and fixtures. This also includes work on high voltage systems such as power distribution lines.
A Teledata Technician is responsible for all of the low-voltage systems of the building. They install internet cable, telephonne communications systems and other equipment.
18 years of age or older
Clean drug test transcript for High School High School Diploma or GED
• After paperwork is received the applicant will be scheduled for an aptitude test and a passing score will be needed to receive an interview.
Application Process
Applications for the Electrical (Wireman) Program apprenticeship are taken in the first two full weeks of April. Applications will be accepted in person at 1719 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia PA 19130.
A nonrefundable $40.00 application fee is required to be paid at the time of application. Only money orders are accepted and should be payable to ATEI. No cash or personal checks.
Applications for the Telecommunications program apprenticeship are taken on the third Thursday of each month in person between 10:00 AM thru 2:00 PM at 1719 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130
