About Us PHMC Care Clinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center, specializes in providing quality, communitybased primary care. We offer medical treatment, behavioral health services, specialized HIV/ AIDS care, assistance in the management of chronic diseases and social services. All services are designed to promote healthy lifestyles.
Our History PHMC Care Clinic opened in 1992 as the HIV/AIDS Care Clinic under the guidance of St. Joseph’s Hospital in North Philadelphia. In 2005, St. Joseph’s Hospital turned over the management of the clinic to Public Health Management Corporation, a nonprofit public health organization with more than 30 years of experience running direct service programs. In 2010, PHMC Care Clinic moved to a new location at 1200 Callowhill Street and expanded its range of services.
HOURS PHMC Care Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and Saturday hours may vary.
APPOINTMENTS You can schedule an appointment by calling us at 215.825.8220. We accept walk-ins although appointments are preferred. Please call for more information. Services available in English and Spanish.
HEALTH INSURANCE At PHMC Care Clinic, no one is turned away. We treat both uninsured and insured patients and provide quality services to all community residents, regardless of their ability to pay. Clients without insurance are charged on a sliding scale basis. All forms of health insurance are accepted including Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, Medicare and private insurances.
