What is GIS Mapping? A geographic information system (GIS) analyzes and maps data by combining demographic characteristics, health information and community resources with geography. GIS is an important tool to help you answer questions and understand patterns and relationships in a straightforward, visual way that has immediate impact.

Why do Mapping with PHMC’s Research and Evaluation Group? The Research and Evaluation Group can help you uncover trends in the communities you serve to more effectively plan and target services.

PHMC’s Research and Evaluation Group will help you: •  Demonstrate need: Show geographic differences in health, economic and social indicators across places and populations over time.

•  Plan programs: Identify communities with risk factors to better tailor and guide interventions.

•  Understand populations: Locate clients, stakeholders and services to pinpoint hot-spots and trends.

With more than two decades of GIS and analysis experience, The Research and Evaluation Group at PHMC can create maps to help you with grant proposals, needs assessments, program planning, program evaluation, marketing and advocacy.
