A Unique Source for Local Health Data PHMC’s Community Health Data Base (CHDB) gathers and provides data from our Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey, one of the largest regional health surveys in the country. It contains information on more than 13,000 children, adults and older adults in the five-county region. The survey provides concrete data on a broad range of topics including health status, access to and use of health care, personal health behaviors, health screening, health insurance status, older adult health and social support needs. CHDB helps more than 300 organizations with their program planning, needs assessment, marketing and development efforts, directing attention to the needs of underserved populations, particularly those at risk for poor health due to age, race, gender, insurance status or poverty. For more than 25 years, CHDB has offered: Local data that can be examined at multiple levels of geography, including census tract, health district, ZIP code, county and region Longitudinal data that can be used as a baseline to measure changes over time, health behaviors and other outcomes
