'I draw from life. The human form is beautiful and challenging to draw. A charcoal line is expressive and shows meaning in a drawing. This is my pursuit, perfection of line without colour or detail. Hence giving an image of a form on whichthe viewer can elaborate in their minds eye.'
'Having studied Art & Photography in London till 1993, I set out toexplore those parts of the planet that most fired my spirit, & to capture the magnificence & beauty of the land, wildlife & people on it. I find inspiration in the diversity & fragile complexity of ecosystems, the humbling majesty of unspoilt landscapes, & the shared warmth & character of people living worlds apart. My aim as a photographer is to share this inspiration with others & to help raise awareness to respect the delicate balance of life on our planet. 'My passion since my childhood has been poetry and art and I have diaries and drawings from my childhood, which I still use for reference today in my present artwork. I have never been afraid to use colour in my artwork, which mostly consists of strong bold acrylics on canvas. I am particularly influenced by the sea and the Sussex landscape. My artwork West Pier collapsing 03 was exhibited at the Royal College Of Art London, sold and the money was donated to Kidscape.I am currently studying Art history at Sussex University. I exhibit and sell my work locally. My last exhibition was held at Fisherman’s Gallery.'
