Giving for ALL the SAINTS
Enriching the All Saints’ Experience Through Engaging, Volunteering, and Giving
“As an independent school, the generosity of our families allows us to focus on accelerating our resources to meet the needs of every student and cultivate their strengths, invest in key programs that set us apart, and further our vision of tradition and innovation inside and outside of the classroom.”
—Dr. Emma Whitman Head of School
Dear All Saints’ Community,
The literal meaning of the word philanthropy is “love of mankind.” This sense of love, respect, understanding, and inclusivity is essential to The All Saints’ Way, and it is palpable among our community. This love is often shown through giving. It is giving of one’s time, expertise, and financial resources that brings our mission to life every day.
For over 60 years, the engagement of families in our community has been instrumental in the All Saints’ educational experience—one that is built on our three core tenets: academic excellence, character cultivation, and community. It is the strength of our community working together that allows us to deliver the best education and student experience.
Together, we make a collective investment in each generation of All Saints’ students. This guide highlights how you can become a partner in the success of All Saints’ through engaging, volunteering, and giving.
We are so grateful for your involvement in campus activities, your participation in giving, and your generosity in both! We hope you will be able to share your time and talents in service to our school.
In partnership,
Wendy Granier Director of Advancement

There are many ways to show financial support for our school. DREAM, our annual fund, is the foundation of all philanthropic efforts at All Saints’. We aim for 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, and families each year. Beyond DREAM, other identified needs are aligned with the School’s Strategic Plan that families can support. Charitable giving by families is essential to the School’s success. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Navigating
our future together
All Saints’ Board of Trustees and Board Subcommittees
Independent schools are private non-profit schools that are independent in:
• Philosophy: each is driven by a unique mission.
• The way they are managed and financed: each is governed by an independent board of trustees and supported through tuition payments and charitable contributions.
The Board of Trustees is the governing body that upholds and supports the School’s mission and vision. While serving in a voluntary capacity, the trustees work closely with the Head of School to ensure the short and long-term financial health of the School and progress towards our identified strategic goals. Trustee
membership is made up of alumni, alumni parents, current parents, Church Vestry members, and other community members. The All Saints’ Board carries out many of its responsibilities through working committees that make recommendations for action by the entire Board. Special Task Forces may be assembled to advise the Head of School and Board of Trustees. Individual members are elected for three-year terms, and their work is strategic—prioritizing the experience of all students. Senior administrators attend the Board of Trustee meetings and serve on various Board Subcommittees.

Coordinated through the Grade Level Coordinator, volunteers are needed to help with classroom celebrations, special projects, field trips, and other areas throughout the year. These volunteer opportunities vary depending on the grade level and can change each year.
Admission Ambassadors and Buddy Families
The Office of Admissions recruits a dedicated team of parents and guardians who are enthusiastic about our mission, connecting with new families, and sharing their knowledge of our treasured
traditions. Admission Ambassadors serve as Open House liaisons, guiding prospective families through campus and sharing about the All Saints’ experience. The Office of Admissions also manages the Buddy Family program to ensure incoming families make a smooth transition into our community.
Advancement Giving Ambassadors
The Advancement Department recruits a team of grade-level volunteers who will serve as philanthropic ambassadors for the All Saints’ community. Giving Ambassadors are passionate and engaged members of All Saints’ who support and advocate for 100% participation in our fundraising endeavors.

Widening the gate
All Saints’ recognizes that paying for an independent school education can be a challenge for families. Our goal is that economic standing should not be a determining factor in admission to All Saints’. We are deeply committed to providing access to our exceptional education to families across the socio-economic spectrum. We are a much more vibrant community because of our commitment to “widening the gate” for students of diverse backgrounds. It is part of our mission-based priority to prepare young people “to lead fruitful lives and to serve a world in need.”
Individual Tax Credit
Tax Credits ensure qualified students have access to an All Saints’ education.
All Saints’ partners with the Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundation (AESF) to continue our legacy of inclusivity and providing opportunities for all students. The State of Arizona allows individuals to claim a tax credit on donations to a School Tuition Organization. Those tax credits directly support our Indexed Tuition Program, providing direct and essential funding to our students who qualify for financial assistance. All Saints’ Board of Trustees is committed to creating a school community that is truly inclusive, diverse, and accessible to a wide range of families.

The Challenge Foundation
The Challenge Foundation began its partnership with All Saints’ 2013 with six scholars entering middle school at All Saints’ and has grown to 44 students in grades 5 to 12. The Challenge Foundation has a dedicated space housed on our campus. The Foundation’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty through educational opportunities. As The Challenge Foundation’s first partner school in Arizona, All Saints’ is deeply committed to offering a stellar academic opportunity for underserved students in the Valley.
Challenge Foundation scholars complete a rigorous scholarship application process before being evaluated for admission to All Saints’. The Challenge Foundation provides robust support for qualifying families that includes not only tuition, but mentorship, social services, and much more. Challenge Foundation Scholars are supported beyond All Saints’ through their college experience.

Capital Campaigns
Over the past 60 years, our campus has evolved and changed to meet the needs of our students and further our educational vision for the future. All Saints’ was founded on a deep commitment to community. Through the years, the families that have shaped our community have also helped shape our campus through capital gifts.
Capital campaigns are conducted to provide significant funding for newly constructed facilities, major renovations, or extensive equipment purchases. The spaces where learning takes place have shifted and been elevated through designated gifts that are above and beyond tuition. These gifts are an investment in our students now and for generations to come.
Planned Giving and Sustainability
Giving back through planned giving or endowment funds benefits the long-term health and stability of All Saints’. Planned gifts or established endowed funds ensure our community thrives for generations to come. To learn more about bequests, beneficiary designations, or other giving vehicles, please visit allsaints.org/endowment or email advancement@allsaints.org.
