1972 35c Christmas solo franking on 1973 (Feb 15) cover paying airmail rate from Canberra to England. Very scarce. 1973 Famous Australians major variety, non-Helecon paper (dull grey UV reaction), five se-tenant blocks of 4 BW #630ac in long horiz strip of 20 (selvedge both ends). Largest multiple of this variety we’ve seen, cat $350 per block. (20) 1974-78 25c Spiny Anteater pair on 1975 (Dec 18) cover to England paying twice the 25c airmail (unsealed) greetings card rate, some trivial aging. Extremely scarce use and the first example we have sighted.

1970 Cook Miniature Sheet Overprinted ANPEX 1970 serial number 5935 with miniature sheet miscut giving impression of stamp images misplaced approx 7mm to the right thereby giving the further impression of the ‘ANPEX 1970’ exhibition overprint shifted to the left and partly on the 30c “stamp”. Quite a striking variety. [Comes with normal for comparison] (2) 1971 Christmas BW #572-585, extensive assembly with mint panes of 25 x6 (one KP5D white paper) and blocks of 7 x12 (two blocks KP5D white paper - one with hinge rems one unit), used or per favour cancelled blocks of 7 or larger x7. Plus over thirty mint singles and other irregular multiples appear all cream paper. 1994 Counter Printed Stamps (Kangaroos & Koalas) five of the six designs denominated $20 at NPC where posted in 1995 (Jul-Aug) for correct TaxPackExpress rate, which guaranteed priority processing of tax returns. These are extremely rare commercial usages; accompanying the lot is an extract from June 2012 Stamp News, wherein Rod Perry explains the reason for these items being in private hands, and states only 25 covers exist bearing the CPS $20 stamps, including one complete set of the six designs. This lot being the second most complete.
