Registered 4d violet covers are rare. 4d Blue (shades) solo frankings (3), one of 11 Sep 1923 for all intents and purposes would appear to display the characteristics of a Harrison printing (although an expert states it plates as a Cooke), and double franking Broome to USA, blemishes although very scarce. (4) 4d Pale Milky Blue Perf ‘OS’ and ½d green perf ‘OS’ tied by Registered Elizabeth St cds to 1923 (24 Aug) Official registered cover (265x95mm) to Mortlake. Acclaimed as the most spectacular of the small number of commercial combinations extant of this reciprocal scheme. [The use of USA stamps in combination with Australian stamps to prepay airmail fee within USA (and vice versa), was first authorized in the Australian 1924 Post Office Guide.] 4½d Violet Perf ‘OS’ (well centred) extremely rare solo franking tied by Registered Elizabeth St cds to 1928 (7 May) registered Official cover (265x115mm) to Mortlake. 5d Chestnut Single Line Perf (shades) selection comprising solo frankings (2, one perf ‘OS’) for 1917 double Foreign letter rate Melbourne (where censored) to USA, and 1922 Perth Official registered cover, unclaimed West Perth and with associated markings, and remarkable Patent Attorney 1915 cover (360x125mm) registered Stock Exchange Melbourne to Malvern bearing 5d singles x2 for Commercial papers 1d per 2ozs rate x7 + 3d registration.
