In the o r i g i n a l L a t i n , memorandum means someth i nq wh i ch must be remembered, and t h i s communication mentions m a tt e r s which you should bear in mind as you go about the myriad tasks in v o lv e d in the p r o d u c t i o n o f a yearbook. 1.

Whatever appears in p r i n t a u t o m a t i c a l l y a c q u i r e s f a r g r e a t e r importance than i t s s u b j e c t m a t t e r mi ght j u s t i f y i f i t were l e f t in ma n us cr ip t. The f a c t t h a t a sentence has been s e t in type and, by one process or a n o t h e r , p r i n t e d on a p r e v i o u s l y b la n k page, gives f a r g r e a t e r w e i g h t t o your words than you may r e a l i z e when you w r i t e them. Someone o f note is r e p o r t e d t o have said t o a newspaper r e p o r t e r : " I care not what you w r i t e about me, bu t s p e l l my name c o r r e c t l y . " In the P h o e n i c i a n , your readers w i l l care what you w r i t e about them, and they w i l l be e s p e c i a l l y s e n s i t i v e about m i s s p e l le d names and i n c o r r e c t cap足 t i o n s under t h e i r photographs. Make sure t h a t the names and faces agree, p a r t i c u l a r l y on those crowded pages where the p i c t u r e s o f the l i t t l e people appear, and when they a re grown to man's and woman's e s t a t e , they w i l l r i s e up and c a l l you blessed.

For th e seven years I have spent in P.C.D.S. I have little to say. W o w ! W hat a neat place! was w hat I th o u g h t back in the sixth grade, but I soon fo u n d it was practically like any o th e r place. M id d le School was just one place fo r industrious study and o ffe re d little in possi足 bilities. U pper School came and I fe lt tha t a new spark had com e in to life, but I was soon dis足 illusioned by fa llin g grades and endless review. But in some areas I really excelled except fo r one o r tw o drops and new m ethods of classwork really picked my interest. I discover足 ed new horizons in several places b ut my age-old way o f math still stuck w ith me.
