Bienvenidos Welcome
Every year that we get to share this recital together is a blessing. This year marks the start of my second decade as the director and owner of Dancinginxs, my first year as a mother, and our studio’s 18th recital. This season has brought many accomplishments to our studio. Our Mini Team claimed the title of 2016 National Champions at Contest of Champions national competition, we received numerous Best Choreography awards at various competitions, and many of our dances were awarded 1st place in their categories. Our soloists stood out from the crowd bringing home 1st place awards at nationals, along with most of them placing in the Top 10 in several competitions. It has also meant the world to me to be able to share this, one of the most meaningful moments of my life as a mother, with the studio mothers and with my students. I am so grateful to see Martina grow up among the students, feeling all their love and affection. Without a doubt, I feel every day that I am right where I need to be and seeing my dancers makes me very proud. You are all an essential part of my life and you are now also an essential part of my daughter’s. That being said, all of this year’s success has been made possible by another group of individuals I need to acknowledge: my teachers. You are the heart of this studio. You are not only great friends but talented professionals whose only objective is to pass along your knowledge to our students. Thank you for giving your love and talent, and for continuing to be a part of this family. To my mother: Thank you! This studio would be nothing without you, as you are like a special grandmother to all our students! A giant ‘thank you’ to all the mothers who have helped me set up this event. Without your help none of our dancers could shine the way they do. To my dance team mothers: thank you for all your hard work and for supporting your children, allowing them to truly enjoy their passion. And to all the parents here today, both new and seasoned, thank you for your support and for trusting me with your children. I promise to continue shaping your children into artists and offering them oncein-a-lifetime opportunities like this one. Every day we continue to grow; every year we continue to grow! Cada año es una bendición para mi celebrar juntos un recital mas. Es este caso, fue el inicio de mi segunda década como directora y dueña de Dancinginxs y por primera vez en mi labor de mama y estamos celebrando el recital numero 18 de nuestro estudio. Este año llego con muchos logros para todos. Tenemos el titulo de Campeones nacionales Contest of Champions 2016 por parte de Nuestro Mini team, pudimos obtener el premio de Best Choreography, en varias competencias y primeros lugares en categorías con diferentes bailes. Nuestras solistas se destacaron con títulos de primer premio Nacional al igual que muchas de ellas estuvieron en el escalafón de las 10 mejores en varias de sus participaciones en competencias regionales. Ha significado mucho para mi también, compartir el momento mas importante de mi vida de ser madre, con muchas de las mamas y con todas mis estudiantes y miembros del estudio. Es un orgullo para mi ver a mi Martina crecer entre ellas y que sienta el amor y el cariño de todas. Con mas razón siento cada día que estoy en el lugar correcto y que todos mis dancers me dan una satisfacción constante. Son parte esencial de mi vida y ahora de la vida de mi hija. Gracias. Sin embargo, el crédito de los inmensos reconocimientos que hemos tenido a través del año se lo debo a mi equipo de trabajo: mis profesores. Ustedes son el corazón de este estudio, un equipo no solo de amigos sino de profesionales talentosos comprometidos y cuyo único objetivo es regalar lo mejor de si y de su conocimiento a todos nuestros estudiantes. Gracias por regalar su amor y su talento y seguir siendo parte de esta familia. A mi Mama, gracias, este estudio no seria nada sin ti, sin una gran mama para todos los estudiantes como lo eres tu!!! Un agradecimiento infinito a todas las madres que han compartido conmigo la preparación de este evento, son la proyección de mi, y sin su ayuda y apoyo ninguna de nuestras niñas/os pudiera brillar. A todas las madres del Dance team que trabajan sin cesar en todos los eventos. Gracias por apoyar a sus hijas y permitirles disfrutar de esta pasión. Adriana Nassiff Director
Teachers ADRIANA NASSIFF
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Adriana received a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a Masters degree in Journalism. She commenced her dancing career with ballet and flamenco at the early age of five. Due to her family roots from Lebanon, she felt compelled to begin studies in Middle Eastern dance when she was 13 years old. Adriana moved from Colombia to Miami in 2001 and throughout the past 10 years, has strengthened her dance technique in varied forms of dance by participating in several National Belly Dance Shows and by attending a myriad of intensive courses and seminars. Prior to her move to the U.S., she was a member of the flamenco company “Triana,” in Colombia from 1999 to 2001. Continuing with her passion for dance, she auditioned and was chosen for the 2003 version of “Duende,” a Spanish ballet with the Florida Dance Festival, directed by the internationally accredited Rosa Mercedes. She has also participated in numerous activities within the cultural world, with Florida Grand Opera, Miss Hispanic International, Carnival Cruise, Univision, Hispanic Dance Festival in Mexico, such as being a guest on a Telemundo show, musical videos, commercials and Emilio Estefan Productions, amongst others. She is a Member of The Doral Business Council and the owner of Dancing Inxs since 2005. She is the new franchise owner on Kinderdance International for Miami Dade County.
MONICA VILLAR
Monica completed her classical ballet training at Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida, where she danced for 19 years under the direction of Susana Prieto. As a child she danced on her school dance teams, winning numerous state and national awards, and later danced with the company at Miami Dade College. Monica went on to become a principal soloist at Ballet Etudes, taking on roles such as Clara in the Nutcracker, Pas de Trois in Sleeping Beauty and a soloist in Verdi’s The Seasons. She was also featured in several dances with the Dance Theater of Miami, under the direction of Patricio Suarez. Monica has been coaching and working with several schools in the area for the past 10 years, choreographing competition routines and teaching Master classes. She graduated from Miami Dade College in 2008 with an Associate’s degree in Dance and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2011 from Florida International University, with a minor in Education. She is now the magnet dance program director at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer, a performing arts magnet school, and the director of the Jr. Empresses dance team.
PATRICIO SUAREZ
Graduated from New York University with a Masters degree in Higher Education and Administration with emphasis in Dance Education & Performance. He received his Bachelors degree from Florida International University after attending New World School of the Arts. He is the Artistic Director and Founder of Dance Theater of Miami and presently an Administrator at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer. Patricio is also the President of the Dade Association of Dance Educators here in Miami, Florida. Patricio’s best creation was becoming a father on September of 2012 to a beautiful daughter, Mila (this is her first recital). He would like to thank his parents for their unconditional love and support. This is his 10th recital with Dancing Inxs as the Director/Coach of the Junior & Senior Teams. He is honored to be part of such an amazing and inspiring studio...which he considers his family. DANCERS: Remember to dance from your heart & enjoy this moment FOREVER...Much LOVE & LIGHT
ALBERTO PENA JR.
Alberto Pena Jr started dancing at the age of 18 where he took his first dance class with Patricio Suarez as an elective at his local high school, Hialeah Senior High. Shortly after, he transitioned to Ballet Etudes under the direction of Susana Prieto where he got most of his classical training. Pena has now been an active and passionate dancer for 11 years, throughout which his love and technique have both grown simultaneously and in direct correlation of one another. During his career, he has danced professionally for Ballet Etudes of South Florida, Dance Theater of Miami, DJB Dance Theater, Royal Caribbean International, the Florida Grand Opera, Mosaic Dance Project and most recently for the Pioneer Winter Dance Collective. Alberto’s work holds several national titles for his choreographies at Mater Academy Charter High School, Hialeah Senior High School, Dancing In Xs and most recently at Miami Dance Studio . He earned his Bachelors in Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts and plans to pursue a lifetime of learning and artistic expression through the medium of dance whether it be by dancing, teaching and/ or choreographing.
VALERIE MOISE
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Valerie Moise also known as Raistalla, trained from the age of six in tap, ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Performing theme related recitals such Peter Pan, Cinderella, A Chorus Line, and West Side Story were all foundational experiences that cultivated her performance and love for musical theater dance. With her eyes set on fame and dancing on television, Valerie moved to LA right after high school to a pursue a career as a back up dancer in the Entertainment Industry. Over her thirteen year pursuit, Valerie worked and performed with artists like Madonna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keyes, Outkast, Missy Elliot, Usher, Stevie Wonder and Prince to name a few. She has worked on various television shows, music videos, movies and commercials. Proud to have returned to her hometown, Valerie lends her gift of dance and experience to the next generation of super star dancers in South Florida. Jazz/Funk and Street/Funk are her specialty styles of dance. “I want to inspire dancers of all ages by teaching them charismatic choreography in which they can find their own expression.”
ASHLEY SANCHEZ
Ashley Sanchez is an International Latin Ballroom competitor and teacher. She began dancing all styles of dance including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, flamenco, and ballroom at the early age of eight years old. Her competitive Latin Ballroom career began as an amateur competitor when she was fourteen years old. Her results in the division included traveling and placing in the finals of some of the nations top competitions such as the Ohio Star Ball, Capital Dancesport championships, Killick Klassic, and San Francisco Open. In 2013, she won the Millennium Championships and became the Vice-Champion at the largest competition in America, the United States Dancesport Championships. In 2014 she began dancing professionally and is currently one of the youngest dancers competing and winning at the professional level. Some of her results as a professional competitor have included placing in the top eleven at the United States National Championships, placing in the top eight at Killick Classic, and becoming Vice-Champion at the Grand National Championships. Aside from being a competitive dancer and teacher, Ashley was also a featured dancer on Simon Fullers hit reality TV show “Ballroom Blitz” that premiered on TLC in 2013 as well as NBC’s show “America’s Got Talent”.
DAISY VILORIA
Daisy was born on December 4, 1991 in Caracas, Venezuela. She began her dance training at the young age of six with ballet classes, flamenco and Venezuelan folklore. She then progressed to modern and urban dance as well as Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Break Dancing. Then she worked with Venezuelan artists/duets/singers as a choreographer and dancer in many states of the country and different shows. In 2011 she was chosen as a Miami Heat Dancer. Now she is a dance instructor of Hip Hop, Jazz II, Ballet and Acro-Jazz at Dancing Inxs since 2012. Also in the beginning of 2013 she participated as a backup dancer for the Florida Grand Opera’s production “ The Magic Flute” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and The Broward Center for the Performing Arts. She was part of the staff in several tv shows as a backup dancer at Univision and Telemundo, she has truly enjoyed all of her dance experiences, especially most recently that she went to New York to take classes in “Dance Awards 2014” convention. This is all thanks to her hard work, dedication and passion for dance.
CAROLINA MENDOZA
Carolina has been a former student of Dancing in Xs for more than 13 years, in all dance styles, including Flamenco, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Belly dance, Hip Hop and Ballroom. At the age of 17, she had already performed professionally for the Florida Grand Opera during the 2011/2012 season, as a dancer for the Zarzuela “Luisa Fernanda”. Since 2009, she has participated in several Dance Conventions such as Jump, Velocity, Intrigue, Turn it Up, Doug and Friends (LA ) and Dance Awards (NY-Las Vegas), being awarded scholarships and the title of one of the Best Dancers for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Season ( VIP Senior finalist). At the moment, Carolina is studying at New World School of the Arts in order to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts under her full tuition scholarship. During her college years, she has performed repertoire by New York’s Ballet Hispanico Dance Company and original works by Gerard Ebitz. She has also danced alongside upcoming artist, Sofia Reyes, during the 2015 Premios Juventud awards show. Carolina is currently working with our students and hopes to be able to continue inspiring others through the art of dance for many years to come.
YOVANA GOMEZ
She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1963. At only 6 years old she began to train gymnastics and she was even part of the National Team. In 1992, she received a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, with specialization in sports and children with problems. She also attended different classes in Havana, Berlin, and Spain. She has worked as a athletic and ballet trainer for more than 20 years in sports and dance studios. Additionally, she worked with autistic and deficit motor development children. Since 2006, she lives in the USA working as a gymnastics trainer and with children with different problems. She is happy to be part of our family.
In the year 2007 and up to the year 2011 she was in Japan by contract of employment at Academy “Hermes Dance Company” where in addition to dance with the company taught Ballet, Belly Dance classes, Latin dance. Currently She teach Ballet in the city of Miami and give all her best to her students to make discipline, self-improvement and great love for dance.

Josefina was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the United States at the age of 5. She began dancing jazz at the age of 7 and met Adriana Nassiff who was her first belly dance instructor at the age of 8. She reunited with Adriana at Dancinginxs a few years later where she began training harder and specializing in more dance genres. She is a former Dancinginxs Team Co Captain, and has been part of the Dancinginxs family for 7 years now. She has featured in music videos for Juanes and Galactico Music. Her love for dance continues as she teaches young dancers the art of belly dance, and she hopes to continue this for the years to come. Josefina is now 19 years old and is a full time student at Miami Dade Honors College majoring in Graphic Design.

Coach Maruchy (Maria del Carmen) started Rhythmic Gymnastics at the age of 3 in her birth country,Cuba. She continued on to the Junior National Pre-selection, where she competed nationally & internationally. In 1995, she received a bachelor’s degree with gold title at the Higher Institute of Physical Culture. Ms. Maruchy has been coaching Rhythmic Gymnastics with starting children to high performance. She has had athletes that went on to National Preselections in Cuba to compete. With her accredited bachelor degree in Physical Education in the U.S. and her ballet Dancer Certification’s she is a great asset to our teacher’s Team. She loves to teach, dance , Rhythmic Gym and enjoys working in a team environment to achieve outstanding results for the kids.

GERTRUDIS GARCIA
Gertrudis García González of Cuban nationality, born on November 16, 1985. She began her studies at the age of ten years in the vocational art school specializing in Ballet. She continued her middle level studies at the National Arts School, with preprofessional practices in the National Ballet of Cuba, under the direction of the first ballerina Alicia Alonso, graduating with outstanding results of Dancer - Ballet teacher. During that time, she danced in the company. Once graduated, She started her working life in the Ballet of Cuban Television where was evaluated as a dancer of television in 2006. In this company, she participated in several programs and musical comedies.
