ď ś Latin has been coexisting in the Iberian Peninsula with the Portuguese, Catalan, Galician, Basque and some Castillian dialects.

Origin of the Lithuanian language • Common origin with Sanskrit Identical words in Lithuanian and Sanskrit: sūnus (son) avis (sheep) • Linguist Jonas Jablonskis is considered to be the father of standard Lithuanian.
