The landscape may not have quite the same vibrancy of summer or the colour pallet of autumn, but it still has an underlying beauty, which is often enhanced in the winter months by the presence of frost, ice and snow.

Freezing temperatures add a new dimension to the dormant landscape and help give a magical quality to otherwise stark and dreary scenes.
