KATERINA NASIAKOU Painter – Conjectural (Member of the Conjectural Artists’ Club of Greece) The painter lives and creates in the Greek city of Larissa in the region of Thessaly, Greece. She has presented important personal exhibitions in several cities of Greece and abroad (she has participated in Bienalle). Katerina is a member of the artistic group ART WAY FESTIVAL through which she presents her artwork, her artistic creations in Cultural Centers, important Galleries, and Greek Museums. The artist often cooperates with other Conjecturals in presenting Cultural – Conjectural acts or implementations and group exhibitions. Her artwork has been characterized as particularly emotional with frequent elements of symbolisms, often involving one‟s own being, his or her existence itself, while her subjects interchange from dramatic to hopeful, traveling herself with her psyche, her inner world, from a melancholic phase to the hope of serenity and tranquility. The painter keeps experimenting constantly with compositions or surrealistic creations, without following known rules, or restraining her compulsions. At the same time she loves romanticism especially and the imaging painting interchanging her need for self growth. Birth, Death, Love, Voyage, Hope, but Fear, too, supplement each other in her artwork with symbolisms, unstrained or sophisticated. Grief, Hope is in the eye of the sovereign, the ruling face. The landscapes are often present on her canvas searching for an escape from the city, for a full breath in Mother Nature. Katerina has often been characterized by art evaluators in the press as one of the best evolving painters in Greece. She herself defines her painting as her refuge, her shelter, her power and her weakness, and her own personal immortality.

Aaron Thornton Welcome to Aaron Thornton Art Aaron thornton is a contemporary American artisti whose original acrylic paintings have been exhibited widely in the US and abroad. His work can be found in both residential and corporate offices nationwide. Since he burst onto the southern California scene almost ten years ago, Aaron has been profilic in his exploration of many historic styles, including impressionism, cubism and abstract expressionism, coupled with a healthy close of what he calls "graffitism". aaron has achieved a truly unique voice in his work, effectively bridging gaps between generations of style and genre. His philosophical bent is visually expressed through his exploration of the bombardment of symbols and concepts people face daily in an increasingly technologically driven world. We hope you enjoy exploring Aaron Thomton Art. Stop back soon as this site is updated often. Aaron is currently accepting commissions for new work.

Arkady Ostritsky

Arkady was born in 1948 in Kishinev, Moldova. He was recognized very early as gifted in drawing and painting and by the age of 20 was accepted in Moldova's most distinguished Art Academy the Rapin Art Academy. He graduated with distinction, earned many awards, and became one of his country's most important painters. He was chosen to paint numerous monumental works in public institutions, and created many large frescos. He also became a distinguished art teacher and many young artists came under his tutelage. When the gates of the USSR opened he traveled extensively through Europe where he fell in love with Europe's buildings and architecture, particularly those in France. This love affair continues today, even after his immigration to Israel. As with all Israeli landscape painters, his use of Mediterranean light is a powerful unifying force in his work. He has had numerous one-person and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the USSR and Europe, in addition to several exhibitions in the U.S. and most recently in Japan.

Keiko Tanabe Keiko Tanabe Award-winning Landscape Watercolor Artist Keiko Tanabe - Biography Keiko Tanabe is an award-winning watercolor artist. Her paintings have been juried into many exhibitions across North America and in Asia and Europe. Her work has been purchased by private collectors from all around the world. Keiko was born in Kyoto, Japan. As a child growing up in an art-loving family, she always enjoyed drawing and painting and won many awards in children's art contests. However, art was not her chosen field of study later on. She earned a B.A. in intercultural communication (International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan) and an M.A. in international education (UCLA, California). She then worked in international relations positions in a Japanese government trade organization in Tokyo, at a large law firm in San Francisco and at a private consulting firm in San Diego. In the last 25 years, she has traveled extensively, mainly in European countries, Asia and North America. Through all these years, Keiko knew there was in her heart the growing desire to someday become an artist. That, fueled by her love of travel and strong interest in other cultures, eventually found its way out in 2003. After learning basic drawing and watercolor painting skills at a local community school in San Diego, she took on her first project as an artist together with her father, a renowned scholar of French literature in Japan. Through the Azure Sea and Sky of Provence: A Tribute to Her Joie de Vivre (Kosei Publishing, Osaka, Japan) was published in August, 2003, authored by her father and illustrated by Keiko. From then on, she intensely taught herself to be fluent in watercolor painting, just as one would do to master a foreign language. Keiko embarked on a professional art career in 2005 and started exhibiting publicly. She also discovered the joy of plein-air painting in a workshop with Alvaro Castagnet in April that year. Keiko was selected to be a featured artist of ArtWalk 2008. In the summer of 2009, she was chosen to participate in the 4ème Biennale de l'Aquarelle in Brioude, France as the first exhibitor from the United States. Keiko lives in San Diego, California with her son.

Keiko Tanabe - Biography

Sandra Balderas Aguirre I was born in Spur, TX. I was born the fourth child of five children and the first to be born in the United States of my family. My parents and brother and two older sisters were born in Mexico. My father although mostly uneducated in his own country learned to read, write and speak English. I have learned much from my parent’s never give up attitude. I now live in Denton, TX and consider this to be my home town since I have lived here most of my life. I am married and have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I have always wanted to be an artist and have recently found that I have much more time to do dedicate to my artwork and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I get my inspiration from many artists including the old masters. I love to do portraits of people, but I have done some still life, animals and landscapes. I have a tendency to work in a more realistic style. I also enjoy doing oil paintings. Some of the highlights in my life have been very exciting I will mention a couple. I have been in a made for television movie. “Finding the Way Home” I was only any extra, but I got to work with actors like Hector Elizondo and George C. Scott. I played a migrant worker. This movie came out in 1991. This next experience is very extraordinary and sounds quite unbelievable. It happened in 1994 when I, my brother and sisters were in Alpine TX visiting my other sister and we visited Marfa TX famous for the Marfa lights. Marfa lights are a phenomenon and scientists do not know why these lights occur. We were chased by one of these infamous lights which is rare and is very exciting but in 2009 my sister was contacted by National Geographic and they wanted us to appear in a documentary, “Paranatural – Mystery Lights” and talk about our experience, so years later I again had a chance to appear on television. This program aired on the Nat Geo channel in 2010. One of the subjects of one of my drawings is drawn with a loose interpretation of these earthlights. I intend to keep up with my drawing and I have plans to do more oil paintings as well.
