10 Miles International Run Following the successful Supersports 10 Miles International Run Phuket last year, Thanyapura Phuket will again be the venue for the 2nd Supersports 10 Miles International Run 2015 Phuket.

Thousands of runners will gather together on March 13th, 2015 to run along the lush green sceneries on the tropical island of Phuket. The Supersports 10 Miles International Run Phuket 2015 Presented by Thanyapura is to be raced over four distances, from the signature 10-mile (16km) event, to 5 miles (8km), 2 miles (3.2km) and 500 meters for children aged 4-12 years.

The 4th Siriroj Mini Marathon: Run for Health, Run for Charity is a health promoting activity organized by Siriroj Hospital (Phuket International Hospital). The chosen route is up to Rang Hill where competitors can enjoy Phuket’s beautiful morning view, then back down passing Phuket Old Town.

The marathon begins at Siriroj Hospital, then Mae Luan Road, the old town, Dibuk Road, Thalang Road, Krabi Road then back to the finish line at Siriroj Hospital.

30th The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta is Asia’s biggest and most popular regatta. More than a regatta, the week long event consists of great parties, great sailing and lots of fun. Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 88th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since during the first week of December.

With the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, the Regatta is organised by the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Organising Committee under the auspices of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy and the Province of Phuket.

The Phuket King’s Cup is the jewel in the crown of the Asian Yachting Circuit, a circuit of the leading regattas in Asia including the Raja Muda International Regatta, the Singapore Straits Regatta and the China Sea Race.

2nd ACCOR Heartbreak Hill The 2nd Accor “Heartbreak” Hill Mini-Marathon 2016 will be held as part of Accor Hotel’s CSR commitment in Southern Thailand in September’ 2016. Naithon-Saku Hill will test runners at the start and toward the end of the race and the elevation is different for each climb.

We want people to test themselves against the hill, you will either climb it or it will beat you and break your heart. To help encourage the runners we will have entertainment on the hill along with a cheer squad thanks to the school children, who this charity will support. There is no other mini marathon we are aware of on the island that has this type of difficulty.

All of this will take place in the natural scenery around Naithon beach and Saku area where we hope to rename the hill “heartbreak hill” after the event as a reminder to those people training for our future mini marathon.

The inaugural Phuket Cycling Race is an exciting,competitive race that will see riders’ bike two distances on Phuket. Thanyapura’s cycling race will be open to all – VIP’s and of all age groups. Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation hosts its annual fundraising community sports event which will take place at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa and encompass the surrounding beauty of Mai Khao Village including an idyllic Pru Jeh San Lake. There are two distances: 4.5km fun run and a 10.5km mini marathon.

The annual Mai Khao Turtle Fun Run & Mini Marathon – while also aiming to encourage in people a healthy lifestyle – is a collaborative effort by the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation and its partners to raise funds and awareness of the conservation work done by the Phuket Marine Biological centre and its “The injured Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Program” to rescue, rehabilitate and release (recovered) injured turtles, dolphins, whales and dugongs. The inaugural Thanyapura King of the Mountain trail run saw avid runners, adventure seekers and fitness fanatics race up and down one of Phuket’s picturesque mountains. Thrill seeking runners had to run across streams and climb over trees to get to the top of the hill and when they reached the top they had to come back down again right to the start, where they were met by excited crowds.
