. Realistic Expectations are Helpful

We all have the same 24 hours for our Toastmasters projects, families, friends, working, eating, and sleeping. If we try to do every task ourselves and never ask for help, we burn out quickly. By being honest about what can be accomplished (tracking how much time is spent on various projects) can give crucial insight to creating realistic expectations. The best way to avoid surprises and exhaustion is to tell your leadership team as soon as possible that you need help. It’s amazing how problems can be overcome with the communications skills we are learning in Toastmasters.
