About the Department The Public Affairs department (PA) multiplies knowledge about Asia-Europe co-operation by furthering awareness and understanding about ASEF, ASEM and I~ey issues in AsiaEurope relations. Aimed at a diverse range of constituencies including the media and the general public, PA's activities foster greater mutual understanding between Asia and Europe

About the Position The Public Affairs department seeks to engage a motivated Communications Executive for a starting period period of two years. He/She will assist in the promotion of ASEF to external parties by developing and maintaining a coherent public image through mediarelated programmes and outreach activities.

Corporate Communications a) Write and implement communication plans, strategies and campaigns for ASEF high visibility projects b) Write press releases, news releases, speeches and articles c) Edit and organize the publication of documents d) Liaises with partners and builds a network for content and publicity exchange e) Assist the Deputy Director in developing programmes and activities

Projects and Special Events a) Assist in the preparation of upcoming projects or special events b) Develops a publicity strategy to maximize the visibility of the action c) Co-ordinate logistical arrangements with project partners d) Provide administrative support for project's participants and other invited attendees

3.

Contents Creation a) Compose, edit, design, record, produce publications such as newsletters, leaflets and brochures or any collateral for public consumption b) Assist in developing multimedia content (pictures, video, pod cast, etc ..) c) Coordinate and approve the work of artists, photographers, videographers, printers or any outsourced vendor, and monitors work in progress d) Assist with web development and technological enhancements

Applicants should have the following profile: .• • • • • • • • •

Passport-holder of an ASEM country; Degree in a related field of study, preferably to communications, journalism or marketing; Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience; Must possess excellent writing, organisation and communication skitls: Creativity to communicate in different ways; Time-management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and ability to multitask; Prior experience in website management, social media platforms and multimedia content creation; The ability to form and maintain relationships through teamwork and networking; Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse professional and social backgrounds.

Remuneration The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary commensurate with the personal qualifications and experience.
