REPETITION SIGNS Casillas. Son liñas cun número para indicar que a 2ª vez sáltase á 2ª casilla e non se toca o da 1ª

PROLONGATION SIGNS They are signs which indicate duration. dot (puntillo)

tie (ligadura)

Hold (calderón)

PROLONGATION SIGNS: DOT 

The dot is a sign that increases the duration of a figure or its silence. The dot must be on the right of the figure or silence. The dot adds half of the value of the figure or silence. We can also use double dot.

PROLONGATION SIGNS: TIE The tie joins two figures-notes which have same name and also same pitch. The tie sums the value of both figures. Two half notes (blancas) sound exactly the same that one whole note(redonda).

We cannot tie high do and low do. Notes must have same pitch.

PROLONGATION SIGNS: HOLD

The hold is located on or under the figure or silence. It keeps the sound as long as the conductor decides.
