CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – To help Filipino workers have their own savings especially after retirement and a decent home, the Pag-IBIG Fund northern Mindanao held the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony with various transport groups in the city and Misamis Oriental on August 24.


Pag-IBIG Fund Area Head for Northern Mindanao Ferdinand Saniel said that since they are working on socialized housing, they are now targeting the informal working sector to become members of the Fund. With only 4.5 percent interest rate to pay, Saniel is positive that the members of the sector will be able to secure a home for their families. Susan Cezar, branch head for Pag-IBIG Fund Cagayan de Oro, also added that upon the members’ signing of the MOA, they will provide their contributions to the Fund. Meanwhile, Vice President of Members Services OperationsVisayas/Mindanao Victoria Dela Pena shared that reaching out to the sector is their way of giving importance to

all the sectors in the country and help the members realize that there is an institution and program that will capacitate them in obtaining their basic needs. “Ang inyong savings makuha sa panahon nga kinahanglanon na gyud (Your savings will be gained the moment that you really need it), Dela Pena stressed. Among the transport groups that graced the MOA signing include the Cagayan-Tagoloan-Villanueva Transport Service and Multi Purpose Cooperative (CATAVITSCO), Indahag Single Motorist Operators and Drivers Association (ISMODA), Metro Cagayan de Oro Transport, and Oro Transport Service Cooperative (OROTSCO). Lanao del Norte Hajj program assists pilgrims anew

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – About 458 pilgrims (Jama’ah) avail of the Lanao del Norte’s Hajj program this year. The annual Hajj is the largest pilgrimage in the world. It is the Fifth Pillar of Islam, a religious duty that must be carried out by every ablebodied Muslim at least once in their lifetime. The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through its Hajj supporting team assists pilgrims in securing their passport, vaccination and other requirements. Pilgrims are also assisted in reserving airline seats for their flight to Saudi Arabia. Lanao Norte pilgrim delegation were sent off at Manila International

Airport bound for Saudi Arabia on 23rd August 2016, according to Lyndon G. Calica, head of the Hajj supporting team, who is also the head of the Office of the Provincial Information, Lanao del Norte. It will be a onemonth pilgrimage, Calica added. Governor Imelda QuibranzaDimaporo, this province, said the annual Pilgrimage has been regularly supported by the local government of the province through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and the two Congressional Districts of Lanao del Norte. GSIS empowers members to directly access records CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Good news to all members of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)! The state pension fund has allowed its members to view their service records and statement of loan accounts through the Electronic GSIS Member Online (eGSISMO).

Initially launched on 31 May 2016 on the occasion of the GSIS 79th Anniversary, the eGSISMO is a web-based facility that allows viewing of membership and loan accounts.


Without going to GSIS offices anymore, members may access the eGSISMO any time via their personal computer, tablet, or other electronic gadget equipped with Internet connectivity. Members may access http:// egsismo.gsis.gov.ph/ using their Business Partner (BP) number and click Sign Up to register. The BP number which is a unique ID of every GSIS member, and the Date of Birth (DOB) should be keyed in the appropriate fields of the Registration Form. If entries do not match, an error message will be prompted on screen. If correct BP number and DOB are provided, the member’s data (BP number, Name, Date of Birth, and email address) will be displayed on screen.

The member shall then choose two different security questions, which are useful in case the member forgets the password during login. The initial password, however, shall be sent the email address indicated during the registration process. Once all security questions have been filled-out, the member must click the CONFIRM button to proceed. A confirmation message for a successful registration will then appear. The member shall now access his or her email for the password and then proceed with viewing his or her records in eGSISMO!
