CSC-ARMM confers awards to outstanding regional public servants

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur – The Civil Service Commission in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CSC-ARMM) gave recognition to outstanding public officials and employees in the region.


The awarding, dubbed as the Honor Awards Program, is an annual undertaking of the Commission that recognizes government officials and employees who have displayed outstanding work performance. The CSC-ARMM said the conferment of honor awards aims to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service. CSC-ARMM awarded the Dangal ng Bayan to Lanie Acoy Castanares, municipal civil registrar of Datu Abdullah Sangki town in Maguindanao; SFO1 Wagner Kamlian, MPA, municipal fire marshal of Bongao Central Fire Station in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi; and Kanggo Umal, regional treasurer of the ARMM’s Office of the Regional Treasury. The CSC Pagasa Award Individual Category awardees were given to Engr. Soler Undug, district engineer of Basilan; Rosita Furigay,

mayor of Lamitan City, Basilan; and Dr. Kadil Sinolinding, ARMM’s secretary of Health Department. The Cadastral Survey Team of the ARMM’s Environment and Natural Resources, on the other hand, received the CSC Pagasa Award Group Category that include DENRARMM Secretary Kahal Kedtag, Asst. Secretary Alindatu Pagayao, and Engr. Allan Diansuy, Atty. Badrodin Pacasem, and Engr. Charlene Pascual as members. The awards were given during the culmination program for the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary in the ARMM at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in Cotabato City on September 28. Winners of the Inter-Agency Sportsfest were also awarded during the ceremony. The celebration focused on the theme “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit Para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani, at Kalikasan.” (BPI/ APB/PIA-10)

Malaybalay City gov’t celebrates 116th CSC anniversary, pays tribute to retirees MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – As part of the lined-up activities for the month-long celebration of 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, Malaybalay City gave honors to the 2016 retired employees of the city government.


Organized by the City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO), the event affords the retirees’ former colleagues and fellow servants the opportunity to be with them who had served the city with dedication and commitment until reaching the retirement age. In his message, City Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri encouraged the retirees to make the most of their years by doing things that will make them happy. “Retirement is not an ending, it is a beginning. And I desire that you will always remain part of Malaybalay City Government family even if you are already ‘retired’ from service,” the mayor said. The momentous Civil Service Month event was an apt occasion for the city government to honor the integrity and dedication endeavored by the 11 accomplished employees and former civil servants namely: Alice S.

Alegres and Bernardo Espinosa from City Assessors Office; Rica P. Carcueva from City Accountant’s Office; Aurora S. Togonon, Virginia R. Antipolo, Nelia B. Pedrosa and Pilar R. Sinto from City Health Office; Wilfredo V. Flores and Leonora Sangkay from City General Services Office; Vicente L. Diayon from City Engineer’s Office; and Roger T. Gonzales from City Mayor’s Office. A posthumous award was also given to the family of the late Jorge P. Cabañelez who worked in the City Planning and Development Office. He passed away last February 2016. This year’s ‘Tribute to Retirees’ was held at The Garden Party Venue in Wednesday, 28 September 2016, which is also a component activity of 116th Civil Service Anniversary. Vet office gives out free rabies vaccine MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN – The second wave of free massive rabies vaccination is now ongoing in Camiguin to ensure sustainability of the rabies free program as well as protection of the public from the dangers of stray animals.
