PRE- and POST SONA REACTIONS “
I expect SONA2018 to be a clear report of real accomplishment based on the President’s promise like War on Drugs, Corruption and Build Build Build program.
We want to know if we really have reduced supply of drugs or are there no more big corrupt in the government?, as well as his plans for the coming years.” - Provincial Administrator Peter Samson
“ I expect President Duterte
to include in his plans improved connectivity, telecommunications and transportation, more tourism infra, that will link Siquijor with other provinces. We want Siquijor to remain an Independent province.”
- Joy Dominie Uy Chan, ChairProvincial Tourism Council, Executive Officer, Siquijor Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCII)
“
I like PRRD’s SONA because it is more of a strong call for action rather than enumeration of accomplishments.
He is firm in giving orders particularly calling the Congress and all agencies to Joy support.” -Vice-Mayor Lopez de Andrade, Siquijor LGU
“
The people were kept waiting, some decided not to listen to the delayed SONA because the focus was shifted to change of leadership in Congress, of whoever sits as the Speaker of the House. I expect signing of the BBL that was mentioned earlier but it didn’t happen. Overall, it was good. The SONA speaks of his firm stand to run after the corrupt.” PSInsp. Mark Edward Barrios, Chief PIDMB/PCR:
“
What I admire most in Pres. Duterte’s SONA is his strong advocacies and strong policies on illegal drugs, corruption, and on environmental protection.”
- SPO3 Mallie A. Calimpon Chief Clerk/Human Rights PNCO, Siquijor Police Station

“Makinig sana kayo – and government agencies to faithfully implement this law and simply simplify the process. Hinihingi ko ho ‘yan sa lahat nasa gobyerno under my control and supervision.
(ecb/PIA7Bohol)
(rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
