About Spir VNE systems SPIR VNE SYSTEMS started out as Vestnorsk Engineering, VNE. It was founded in1989 providing products and services within structural and mechanical design to shipyards and general mechanical industry. Since then it has turned out to be one of the most versatile product and engineering companies, specializing as a supplier of complex systems to a range of different markets and customers. Spring 2010 the company was taken over by Spir to be a part of their industrial group of companies. By combining experience and knowhow from many disciplines and at the same time work closely with each customer, Spir VNE Systems can take on assignments ranging from plain engineering and on to full turnkey projects. Concept development & product supply Many existing ways of doing operations can be improved by developing new and innovative equipment. The company has since the start in 1989 specialized in one off and custom built solutions which add economical, technical, environmental and /or safety value to existing technologies. We take care of the total process from idea and concept development through design and manufacturing and all the way on to delivery, installation, start up and training.
Throughout the years we have delivered a range of products that just started out as an idea or a problem and turned out to be a complete turnkey product. We work closely with the customer through the entire process to achieve the best results.

Propeller Shaft Puller System Spir VNE System has developed a propeller Shaft Puller Systems that safely and quickly takes out the shaft and propeller without man driven hoist. We deliver propeller shaft puller systems ranging from 20 to 80 Tons SWL. The 20 tons SWL System consists of a puller unit, a fork for taking down the rudder and a support unit. The 80 tons SWL System are delivered with extra support units and special equipment for taking down large rudders.

The system safely and quickly pulls out the propeller and shaft without man driven hoist and reduces the risk for damaging the shaft during maintenance and inspection. The system improves safety for the operating personnel involved and reduces the man hours needed. The propeller shaft pulling operation can be done by only two persons and
the whole operation can be done in just a few hours. With today`s off hire costs this gives huge savings for the ship owner and a competitive advantage for the repair yard. The System is hydraulically driven and can also be delivered with equipment for taking down thrusters.
Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) for ROV We can deliver complete launch and recovery systems (LARS) for ROV handling. The most vital part of the system is the active heave compensated winch which incorporates the latest technology for fast and accurate winch control. Our active heave compensated winches are built to improve the operational safety and to increase the weather window for our customers. Our winches are delivered according to DNV lifting appliances.

Our customers can have standard solutions with small adjustments or tailormade equipment according to their specification. We can deliver the equipment including HPU or it can be connected to an existing hydraulic system onboard the vessel/rig.
A typical station would be fitted with reels for 4� and 5� soft wall hoses with floating element and for mediums like Diesel, Potable water, Brine, Cement, Bentonite/Barite, mud etc.

Our experience covers several deliveries to both onshore and offshore installations. We can design both “Gripper Jack” skidding systems and “Claw” type skidding systems in order to move heavy loads along beams with high positioning accuracy. VNE skidding systems are designed to a range of different load capacities and can adapt to different dimensions of flange width and flange thickness on the skidding beams.
