“An Apocryphal Survey with Telling Results While looking over a recent pastoral survey, the idea came to me for a survey of my own. And so, with malice toward none and hopefully a healthy laugh for all...

89% of pastors have had a member go to sleep during a service. 97% of those pastors have then called on that sleeping person to pray, just out of a sense of mischief.

Dateline: Mooresboro. Subject: Recent results of the Apocrypha Group pastoral survey.

92% of pastors do not need “the little blue pill. They need the phone to stop ringing during that special moment as a member calls to ask a question about something that was clearly answered during the service when they were not paying attention.

73% of pastors report having members lay out of church because of sickness, and then running into those same members later in the day at Walmart. 67% of those members actually do become sick at that point, as evidenced by them running to hide in the bathroom. 81% of pastors have titled a message on Ephesians 5:2324 “The Head of the Homeâ€? when they really wanted to call it “Pull up your Big Boy Britches and be a Man!â€? 99.999% of actual pastors OLVWHQHG WR &UHĂ€R 'ROlar’s recent request for a $65,000,000 Gulfstream 5 OX[XU\ MHW UHĂ€H[LYHO\ VSHZHG RXW WKHLU FR̆HH DQG XVHG WKH words “charlatanâ€? and “hirelingâ€? and “snake oil salesmanâ€? in some order within the next three seconds.
