RECAPIN’ IT Here at the Piedmont Shopper, our involvement with the people and causes we are blessed to come across doesn’t stop after we bring their stories to you. Here are some updates on some of the articles we have featured: Remember Eric Winslow, local up and coming race car driver who had entered into the PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge? GREAT news! Eric was selected to go to Charlotte and is now one of only 18 contestants in the Challenge! Way to go Eric! We’re rooting for you! Camp Selah Ministries in Sutherlin raised enough money through gifts, donations, stakeholders, and an amazing yard sale to build their new bathhouse!! After it’s built, they will be able to offer swimming lessons to children in the community, and increase the overall possibilities of the camp! God is good! Since running the article about his nomination into the Nascar Hall of Fame, the late Wendell Scott was inducted, and has become the first African American to be chosen for the honor. Wendy Francis has received the first email from someone who had a good deed done for them in the name of her late son, Lucas Francis. Hopefully many more are to come as more people “Pay It Forward for Lucas”.
