Plans for Paris trip underway

Eli Diaz / Roundup

Pierce College students have the opportunity to go to Paris for a chance to study beginning to advanced French language and civilization courses.

Summer Study in Paris has been offered to students for 30 years and has been available to Pierce students the past two summers.

Students will spend the entire month of July in Paris and will receive up to eight units of UC/CSU transferable units.

“They get the experience of the city being their classroom and having French lessons all day long,” said French instructor Rebecca Ebin.

“It’s a life-changing experience for students who can’t wait to go back.”

The base program price is $3,000.

However, full-time students can apply for financial aid to help pay for some or all the expenses for the program.

“Students will be able to immerse themselves completely into the language and the culture,” said Ebin.
